First Time to DLP: Start at Hollywood Studio or DLP?

Hello. Disney veterans travelling to Paris for the first time in August. Question is: should we start in Hollywood Studios (for Ratatouille ride and Crush Coaster) or start in DLP and make our way over to Hollywood later in the day? We will be there all day (and can only visit for one day). Thanks!

You only want to do Ratatouille & Crush?
If you don't have EMH, but do have a park hopper I would start at Disneyland Park, do whatever you want/do/see there. About 1 hours before closing of the Studios, go there, ride Ratatouille as single riders, go to Crush (if single riders line is open, use that), then go back to Disneyland Park for the next part of the day, see some more and the fireworks. Check the queue times before hopping over.

I checked August, the Studios closes at 8, while Disneyland Park closes at 11 for most days.

Good strategy! Thanks!

Good plan Karin1984 - and if the line for Crush is obnoxious . . . I'd skip it and ride Ratatouille twice ;) My trip the RD line for Crush cost me over an hour - not worth it (ride is extremely short).

How many of you are there? Can one of you leave DLP reasonably early to run FPs for Ratatouille before they run out? When those come due, single-rider Crush, if you can,

Four of us (two adults and a 13 and 14 year old).

When we went we started out at DL and headed over to HS to do the exact same thing. We probably left DL around 11am and did Rat and Crush (btw I would never skip Crush! I don't recall it being any shorter than any other ride but we thought it was one of the better rides of any of the parks and I wish we had one here.) We had lunch in HS and rode a couple of other things just to see the differences and headed back over to DL. You'll just have to kinda focus on riding just the major rides and move on. HS is super small and a couple of hours there is plenty IMO. I'm heading back this November and I can't wait!

Agree that it's hard to find stuff to do at WDS for longer than a few hours, but what there is excellent.
