Ok - I am going to Animal Kingdom on Sunday, April 3rd (arriving Saturday afternoon). I was planning on ordering tickets online and getting them in the mail but I forgot (won't get into the story here). I don't want to wait on lines and it says that tickets arrive in about 7-14 days (up to 7 days for express - but 7 days would make it Sunday when we are there). Should I order online and pick up the at the will call (don't know if there are big lines here or if I have to wait till the park opens to pick these up).

What should I do?? I could pick them up on Saturday but we are arriving in the afternoon and we won't have a whole lot of time. My wife and friends are not amused. Please help. :sad2:

You have several options. You could call them in now as will call. If you are staying on property and have a room reserved, you can also call in now and have them added onto your room card as the "Key to the World" - which would be my recommendation.

If you do the "Key to the World" you would only each have one card to carry and you will come out a hero. :)

I think some will deliver to your hotel. Check with the Official Ticket Center which is advertised here on the DIS, or Ticketmania or Maple Leaf. I have heard good things about all of these. Also if you have a Disney Store near you, you can usually get them there. Hope this helps.

I am staying off property.

Will call - are they open before the park opens so that I can get the tickets before the park opens? Or do I have to wait with everyone else who didn't get tickets (i.e., is the will call line the same as the regular ticket purchase line)?

Thanks.

Just called the DisneyStore in both NJ and NY. They don't sell 1 day passes! Only 3-7 days. Thus, I'm back to square one.

Will call opens when the ticket booth opens at AK (1 hour before park opens). I want to try to avoid lines at this ticket booth; get in when the park opens and not make my family wake up earlier than they have to.

Another option is buying the 3 day base ticket at the DisneyStore and then making it no-expiration at guest services. Not sure if my relatives want to lay out that money now and pay $10 more to make it no expiration. I will ask. Any help in the meantime will be appreciated.

Don't worry about the relatives. They should be happy that you have done all the planning and they havent had to lift a finger!

If you are only getting a 1 day pass there is really no need to order in advance. Just get your ticket at the park. You would need to go to the same window for "will call" so either way you have to go to the ticket window. Disney does not discount 1 day park passes....just 5 days or more(for advance purchase prices).

Hope you have a blast....AK is great!

Regarding the relatives, guess I can get the 3 day base tickets; tell them that they only have to pay the 1 day price to me and I'll hold the 2 day no expiry tickets (they don't have names assigned to tickets do they)?

So I'm out of pocket if they don't want to be out of pocket - I have no problem with that. ;)

How long are the lines (April 3rd) to get tickets at the park (as opposed to ticketholders waltzing right in)? I don't want to make my 2 1/2 and 1 year old wake up earlier than they have to - to get on line to buy tix b/c of my goof-up.

The lines shouldn't be too bad. I wouldn't wake the kids up early just to get the tickets. Let them sleep as they will need to rested!!

As far as the 3 day park passes....there are no names on them BUT they do a finger scan now so you would not be able to use them yourself in the future.

HOLD ON - don't buy tix for more days than you need, thinking you can use them another time for different people - with the new biometrics thing (you stick your fingers in a machine when you enter the park, and it reads the size of them somehow, and then that tickete is forever associated with THAT PERSON) a different person can't re-use the unused days, even on non-expiring tickets.

Others more expert than I can tell you more about that, but heads up.

On another note, we were there a few weeks ago and I too delaying in ordering our tickets - but ended up getting them from Tickets Unlimited and they deliver to area hotels (not just Disney properties, I'm 99% sure) for $5. Worked well for us. But if I were you and am reading you right that you're arriving the same day (partial day) and that's the only day you'll spend at AK, I'd skip checking into the hotel and head straight to the park, so maybe this isn't your best option.

HTH.

You are only going to one park for one day?

Well, this trip was originally just to get a little sun and break from the winter blues. We get in Saturday 1:30pm and leave Tuesday 10:50am. Saturday check in is at 4pm so we can't do too much other than hope for an early check-in and maybe enjoy some hours pool-side before my one-year old sleeps at 8pm.

Sunday is when we planned on doing a park.
Monday is more R&R - can't imagine another full day at another park.
Tuesday - we leave in the morning.

Will-call at Disney is also at guest relations and there's one in Down Town Disney. You could pick up your tickets there--need to order them 24 hours ahead of time. I second what others have said about using a broker like Ticketmania and having them deliver tickets to your hotel. So I think you have at least two choices (1. order from Disney on-line, use will call at DTD on Saturday to pick the tickets up or 2. use a broker and have tickets delivered to your off-site hotel).

You've probably spent more time trying to figure out how to get tickets without standing in line, then you will actually spend standing in line to get tickets.

Probably.

I'm done. Just ordered online and will pick up at will call. Hopefully it won't be a long line. :hourglass Thanks for everyone's feedback.
