Know for Disneyrookie2007 that would be 9 nights and 10 day stay at disney world ?? is that correct.
Also any advice that would make the trip alot smother would be a grate help.
9 nights and 10 days would be correct.........it really depends on when you arrive and when you leave. On our last trip, we arrived arounnd 11am and our room was already available......this gave us almosty 3/4 of a day to visit a park. When we left, our flight was at 6pm...allowing an additional morning of activities.
Stay in a value resort...........you won't be spending much time in your room anyways and they are still very quite nice........utilize the magical express and don't worry about your baggage.......they will deliver to your room with a few hours of your arrival.
If you plan on going in August, be prepared for HOT & HUMID weather. Buy a misting fan!! Be prepared to get to the parks very early in the morning to take advantage of the cooler temps.........during the hot part of the day, you might want to head back to your resort for a dip in the pool or a nap.........the hot humid weather will drain your energy level. Head back to the park in the evening hours - a park hopper is not needed if you visit the same park in the same day.
A thundershower is almost a certainty during the afternoons. Bring a 2nd pair of comfortable shoes to use to give your feet a break. Nothing worse than blisters on your first day - you'll be doing tons of walking while you're there - pack some moleskin in case a blister develops - this saved my feet the last time !
Purchase the water parks and more option............you'll thank me later, especially if you're going in August!!
Keep your eyes open to when the Free Dining Plan is offered........usually announced the first week of april , I believe. The offer is usually good from the last week of August into mid September. This will save you a bundle of $$ on food and permit you to try some fancier restaurants you might otherwise avoid due to the pricing. Some of the nicer restauarants are also found on the higher-end resorts - keep this in mind when deciding where to eat. Advance reservations will be needed and can be made up to 180 days before your arrival - these are necessary if you want to experience the finer restaurants - otherwise they book up early and you might not get a table.
Make a list of MUST SEEs for each park - do them early in the day and use fastpass where needed. Once your MUST SEEs are done, you'll be more relaxed to see and do other things.
I'm sure I'll think of something else...............
