First time staying at a Deluxe Resort help me choose please!

I would vote for YC/BC as well. I have three boys and I can tell you we love, love, love Stormalong Bay. You cannot beat easy walking access to Epcot and HS as well plus the Boardwalk area at night. It is just wonderful!

My vote would be the AKL. Beautiful pool with zero entry and a lot less crowded than BC/YC's. I thought the bus service from AKL to all parks was great too. Just my $2(always more with Disney) worth!

We have stayed at both Boardwalk and Beach Club, and we love the proximity to Epcot and HS. As for the pool, the boardwalk pool had lots of fun games for kids during the day, and a fun slide ( creepy clown face though). With that said, the beach club pool was awesome! Lots to do, plus a beach area to hang out on. Really, any if the delux resorts will have great amenities, but the BC will always be our favorite. We are staying at the Contemporary in nov/dec this year, and want to try the wilderness lodge for our next trip. Have fun!

I would stick with Yacht/Beach or Poly for great pool options.

Our room at Boardwalk was terrible, moldy shower curtain, moldy caulking, rust/corrosion around the bath drain and whatever fixture is between the drain. After much back and forth with housekeeping (not BW's whatever stupid central line they dispatch everything through which then gets routed to Boardwalk, BW housekeeping manager finally fixed the problem around midnight requesting a room change because the central line couldn't adequately convey that the issues weren't just cleanable) we were eventually moved, to another room still with moldy caulking and less but still noticeable rust around the drain plug. The cover on the magic band scanner lock also popped off when we closed the door

The other party that was traveling with us couldn't get into their initially assigned room maintenance acknowledged that the people who checked out that day also reported problems with the locks, they also got moved to another room.

I'm so stealing that line! :teeth:

My kids are 10, 11, and 14 - we outgrew POR (which we all adore) two years ago and have made the Beach Club our hands down new favorite. You can use pool noodles and inner tubes in the lazy river and the rest isn't deep. We spend hours at the pool and love it!

We loved the YC. I know some people think it's too stuffy or not kid friendly, but my 4 and 7 year old adored it and already said that's where they want to stay next year. The pool is amazing!
