I called MS and received my DVC Member Sorcerer Pass Annual Pass. What do I do the first day I go to use it? Do I have to go to Guest Services on the first day to "activate" it, and let them see my digital card to verify my eligibility (or did MS verify my eligibility when I called?) Or do I go directly to the gate and answer any questions there?

I just purchased mine over the phone recently. The CM told me to go to the guest services booth to get it activated before I could get into the park.

I bought a new one online last year and activated in February, I had to go to Guest Services. There was a message in MDE on the ticket.

We just tapped in …. No trip to GS necessary for us

I just double-checked in MDE (actually in my Wallet) and there's no message that I can see.

Is this your first purchase of a DVC-eligible pass? I'm curious if a past purchase of a DVC-Y pass that was verified by GS back then would confirm eligibility today, therefore not requiring another trip to GS.

Obviously life happens and people can sell their contracts and no longer be a member-- but if your DVC affiliation never leaves your MDE account then I don't see why it couldn't just consider your account verified and eligible. This assumes the number of DVC members going directly from DVC-Y to DVC-ND (while maintaining membership throughout) is very, very small or zero.

This was our first purchase of the Sorcerer’s Pass. We are ‘blue card’ members not sure if that makes a difference or not

Actually, I DID buy a DVC-eligible pass. However, it was many years ago (we've been members for 22 years). It seems that there may have been a DVC AP I bought a long time ago for $399. Is that possible or did I dream that price?

Didn’t dream it. They had a special for that price and it was nice!

I'm quietly waiting to see how Disney responds to Epic Universe... since last time when Volcano Bay opened they offered DVC members the Platinum Plus annual pass for the price of the Gold (since it's the only pass at the time that included water parks).

I figured I had to go to guest services plus I thought I vaguely the CM telling me that too but....

turned out you were right. The CM at guest services told me "Oh, you didn't have to stop here-you're all set!" I did get the dreaded blue light, but the problem was that I hadn't made a park pass for Animal Kingdom today. Turns out that Hurricane Milton screwed up our plans so the CM made a park reservation on the spot and then when I tried again, I was all set.
