First Time Poly Renter

I just rented a studio at the Poly next October. I have a few questions that I’m hoping someone can help with.

1. Does the owner have to submit any requests for us or can I do so? I did do online checkin and request Tokelau, but I would also like to request a higher floor.

2. I understand about the cleaning on the 4th day, but are we still able to request additional towels? And if we need to empty trash prior to that day, is there somewhere we can take it? I don’t mind doing that at all.

3. Is dish soap provided in the kitchenette or will I have to bring it?

1) The owner has to submit specific requests via member services.

2) Just ask one of the mousekeeping cast members for additional towels. They’re generally fine with providing extras. A cast member will enter your room every day to pick up trash as that is part of their security check procedure.

3) Dish soap and a sponge is provided, even for studios.
 
We almost always end up asking for more towels, blankets, coffee, dish soap, etc... They bring us whatever we ask for with smiles on their faces! :)
 
You can do requests in your online check-in on MDE. They don't mean much, DVC runs at full capacity.

You can ask for towels and such, or there's usually a cart in the hall.
 

I just rented from someone for my stay last week! We filled out the request online but also had our owner submit the request for us too. We got 3rd floor Tokelau without issue. While we were there, we asked for an additional blanket, toilet paper, tissues, and coffee creamer - they went above and beyond each time.

We emptied our trash on our own 3 times just because we had leftovers and didn't want the room to smell like food. They did come every day though for trash while we were out of the room. Day 4 we got old towels taken away and replaced with new ones.

Sometimes they are worse than limited - they are non existent, like at AKV Jambo ‘upper or lower floor’ - um, you’re going to be on the 5th floor (or 6th if club) where all the DVC villas are located. Or the year when every DVC resort had the online option of ‘near paddock’ which is a location in SSR 😂.
