First time Poly help!

Hi. This is the first time I'll be staying at the Poly, so I had a few questions (for room requests) if anyone can help me. We (myself, I'm 20, my sister who's 20 and my cousin who's 14) were going to PO:FQ, but since of the closing, we had the option to a cheap Poly upgrade. We've been saving so long, it was hard to afford, but we HAD to take it! This is the only time we would EVER be able to afford a deluxe (for a week at least!).
My sister just got out of the hospital, and it's my cousins 15th birthday the day we get there, so I wanted it to be extra special. Can anyone answer these questions for me?

1. How many floors are there per-house at the Poly? I'd like to request top floor for the balcony.

2. Since we were just FQ upgrades, we got the standard view (garden I believe?) what's the best building to request? I'd love a castle view, but I'm not sure if that's possible with the lower-rate we are paying.

3. If no castle, anything other than the parking lot! ha!

4. I read somewhere about a ladybug release, but I can't seem to find anything more on that. Any info?

We are 20 days away from our first stay at the Poly too Sorry I can't help you with room and building request but I can answer the question about the ladybug release: It takes place at the Grand Floridian. I have never taken part in it but have heard from several people who have and their kids enjoyed it.

You will have a wonderful time at the Poly. It is our favorite! It depends on what you want to where you want to be. I request Raratonga, which is gardenview, as we like to be right next to the Great Ceremonial House where the lobby, restaurants, and monorail are. There is 3 stories in it. Top floor has balconies and the entire building is non smoking. It is a short stroll to either pool, like 1 minute, and 10 feet from the GCH. One side of Rarotonga technically faces the parking lot but you really can't see if because of all the lush vegetation. It is our favorite side because we get to see the monorail come and go. Though right now there is construction on that side so I would recommend a quiet pool view which is the other side of the building. A castle wouldn't be all that spectacular as the castle is so teeny that you can barely make out the tip top of it over the trees in the middle of the lake. You see more of the train station top then you do of the castle in most places. You can look on the tikiman site and go to the map to find out the buildings. They do look far away from each other but really aren't that far. I do think they can be a walk though so we always go with the closest. When are you going? We are going back in October and cannot wait!

Gamer there is a great thread started by Canada Kid. He does a touching job expressing his impressions of the Polynesian and there are many wonderful responses to it, too. I'll bump it up for you.

I think I would request Samoa if you want a close, busy location. If you want a quieter view, I'd ask for the side of Tokelau that doesn't face the pool. Actually, I'd just let the magic work and not request anything more than ground floor, balcony or whatever you want in that department.

I think the ladybug release program ended a year or so ago.
