Just started to get my plans together for our trip beginning May 23 and wanted to get some thoughts on my half day that I have planned so far.

Magic Kingdom, morning EMH

1. Arrive 45 Mins prior to Opening (8 AM)
2. DD Gets FP for Buzz, and meets DD & DW at Winnie Pooh
3. Ride Winnie Pooh, get FP for later if available
4. Ride Peter Pan, get FP for later if available
5. Ride Dumbo
6. See PhilharMagic
7. Ride Cindys Carousel
8. Ride Snow White, get FP for Peter Pan or Winnie Pooh if we havent already, and they are available.

Is it possible to do all of this before we go to Mickeys Toontown,(open @ 10)?

9. Tour Toontown Hall of Fame and meet characters
10. Ride Goofys Barnstormer
11. Tour the Toontown Fair
12. Hit the Mad Tea Party on the way to Tomorrowland
13. Ride the Indy Speedway
14. Obtain FP for Buzz if available
15. Ride Buzz Lightyear using FP obtained first thing after opening
16. Ride the Astro Orbiters
17. See Monsters Inc
18. See Stitchs Great Escape

What kind of time frame am I looking at to be able to get all this accomplished, on a day with morning EMH?

Ride Dumbo first. The line grows quickly and load slowly.

The list you have may be ambitious for half a day, but you should be able to get quite a lot of it done.

Good luck!

I am curious about all of the FPs so early on. Are you only getting one at each place? Otherwise I think you have to wait until the return window opens up to get more.

I haven't been to WDW for 34 years, so I have similar questions about getting some rides in during EMH at MK.

To veterans: Can you even get fastpasses during EMH or do you have to wait until 9am for them to open?

I plan on getting FP for all tickets, but only as the window becomes available. It might be wishful thinking, but I am hoping being there so early the the window will open up quicker. As I understand it, you cannot get another FP for 2 Hrs or until your return time on the current FP whichever is less. If that is wrong please let me know.

ride Dumbo first. Then Peter Pan. Then Pooh. If you plan to see Ariel - do that early. Philharmagic can wait until later in the morning.

Unfortunately, even though you can get FPs during morning EMH, the ride window still does not open up until 10 am at MK, so the earliest you would be able to get your next FP would be at 10. I would definitely head to Dumbo first, and then hit Peter Pan and Pooh. You should be able to ride them fine in standby without needing an FP that early.

I think you will be able to get Fantasyland done easily before 10am if you are there at 8am. In fact, I bet you'd be able to get most of your Tomorrowland stuff done by then as well!! We did almost all the same stuff in Fantasyland in our first hour at opening! Depends on if you are wanting to wait for "rope drop" at Toontown to get a good spot for the fairies. ;)

I will echo PPs and say ride Dumbo first, Peter Pan next, then Pooh. Considering you can only get that first FP for Buzz until 10am, get that, have someone get Peter Pan right at 10am, then get the Pooh one after Toontown. You will have ridden them already, but you mentioned getting FP for later for those. I would, too, I love them both!

If you haven't been to MK at rope drop before, you will be amazed at what you will accomplish in a short time, especially with early EMH.

How exciting!!!! Also, just in case you didn't know, you can return to ride the rides you have FP for at any time after the return time, not just during the window. :thumbsup2

As others have said....Go to Dumbo first!!

In March, we went right to Dumbo, rode on the first one of the day and then rode again. (On our first day, we wanted it to be our DD3's very first WDW ride, so we waited more than 30-45 minutes for it. )
Then, we saw Ariel with absolutely no waiting (the CM there lured us in), definitely worth it if you have a DD! Then to Peter Pan, Pooh, Snow White, Carousel and tea cups....all in less than two hours, no fast passes (It's a Small World might have been in there too). Then you can head to Toontown. If you want to meet Tink and friends....go there immediately. It was the longest wait of our trip (1 hour and we were there at 9:55), but it was one of our best character encounters. Our Tink was amazing and they really interact with the kids and adults! I think it's worth the wait. My DD loved it!

Like others said, PhilharMagic can wait...and is nice during the afternoon when it gets warmer.

Have a great time! BTW, I'm a fellow Hoosier (by birth, live in Virginia now).

This was the advice from a friend who went there in October. Get to the rope at Toontown before 9:30am (Toontown usually opens at 9:45am) so you can be one of the first people in line to meet the characters. He said it was worth the 20 minute wait at the rope to prevent the hour plus wait in line.
