Okay - more questions now...
I realized I did not even consider GF - is it worth the extra cost?
Also - while cost is not THE issue, it is AN issue - I have 14 months to save/plan and am certainly willing to pay more for a deluxe if this would enhance the experience, but also don't feel the need to stay in a deluxe if I could be just as happy somewhere else; deluxe mostly for location and a bit of wow factor (still leaning toward CL for that). Also - DM, kids and I are in the park most of the day except afternoon break - but DH spends about 1/2 day relaxing in room and near pool - and would likely be just as happy near the moderate pool as the deluxe.
Also (one more question) - when is the best time to start reserving - I would probably use AAA discount.
Thanks Thanks Thanks (you board folks are great)![]()
I personally will not go deluxe because we do not use the resort enough to justify the expense. I think you should really consider how much time you will be in your room, how much your kids will use the pool, and if you want any of the extra amenities, and then decide if a deluxe is worth the extra expense to you. We prefer to use that money for other aspects of the vacation. The moderates all have slides at the pools, so your kids will have something there whichever you decide. (And I have felt a certain amount of WOW factor in every resort we have been in, including Pop. They are all beautiful in their own way.)
I would make a reservation as soon as you decide on a resort. You can always change resorts, dates, etc right up until your last payment at 45 days until your vacation without a penalty. Our last stay we had trouble getting CSR at 11 months out.
