Ok we are planning on doing one day at IOA in Dec and I have a couple of questions.
1) Is there really enough to do to justify bringing my almost 4 yo to this park and paying for her? I can leave her with my mom for the day.
2) If we are staying at a WDW resort what is the easiest way to get there? I was thinking of renting a car for a couple of days.
And 3) Is the express pass worth it? It would be an additional $50 pp for the time we are going.

Thanks all for your help!

1) If you're just doing IOA, you might want to consider leaving your daughter with your Mom. Between the two parks, there would be plenty of stuff to do but if you're only doing IOA, it may not be worth it.

2) Renting a car would be fine...just remember there's a $14.00/day parking fee.

3) Don't purchase the Express passes until you arrive and check out the lines. They are non-refundable so don't spend the money unless you have to.

Harry Potter will be open by that time and the parks should be very busy so purchasing the EP would probably be a good idea. Just don't it ahead of time.

jmho, if ur mom is willing to take ur daughter for a day...take it & run;).

u can have a free day & so many things ur DM & DD could do together, lowkey-doesn't have to be the parks (pool, charactar meal, it's fun to grab a bus & go see the animals @ AKL).:)

Since you have a limited amount of time at IOA, I think you would probably have more fun if you let your daughter stay with your mom for the day.

We did the opposite - stayed at the Hard Rock and went to Disney for a day. There was an inexpensive shuttle that picked us up at our hotel and took us directly to the park. I am sure there is a shuttle that goes from Disney resorts to IOA as well (if you wanted another option than renting a car and messing with driving, parking, etc.)

As far as express passes, you might not need them the time in Dec you are going. According to your sig, you will be there around the 10th of Dec? We were at IOA the same week of Dec a few years ago and it was not crowded at all. In fact, I don't think we waited in line more than five minutes for anything except seeing the Grinch in his house. It is a great time to go.

Have fun!
Jennifer
