First time offsite, Sunpass?

I am parting from the "crowd" here. Since you are planning future trips, I would go with the Sunpass. You also get reduced tolls on their roads using this pass. https://www.sunpass.com/tollSavings

I have a Sunpass and, on my last trip in July there was no discount on the (one) toll of $1.50 going from MCO to the very end in Cape Canaveral.

Going on the Turnpike from Orlando to South Florida, there was a discount.

Conclusion: Any discount seems to depend on the route.

Right you are, that is why I said the tolls are discounted on their roads. Not all the toll roads in FL are Sunpass Roads. IE: the one I take everyday to work is the 408, NOT a sunpass road, ergo, no disount. The Turnpike is a Sunpass Road, hence the reason you got a discounted toll.
