First time MaxPass user...Help with tips and how to use.

This seems like a good place to ask my question, apologies if it's been answering 100 times over in other threads.

My friend and I will be visiting DLR in three weeks. I am SO excited to hear that we can actually do this and still get FP to the big rides, since I didn't even know I'd be visiting CA until, well, yesterday. I'm still a little unclear on how far in advance we need to purchase our MP though. Is it okay to do so right before our visit, or do we buy it ahead of time, when we purchase our park tickets? Also, does it make the most sense for one of us to handle FP for both of us (we are 100% on the same ride page and won't be splitting up) or should we manage our FPs individually? I used MDE during our week-long visit to WDW last fall but one friend did the majority of the FP booking. And lastly, can you still use paper FP if you are using MP?

Thanks, all! I'm so excited to all of a sudden be visiting the Land in a few weeks!
You can buy Maxpass with your park tickets, or you can add it each day after you scan into the park. If it's not purchased as part of the ticket, you can't add it until you're inside (it's always been very quick and easy for us, but there have been some reports of technical difficulties with it recently).

I'd have one person do FP for both of you. I usually manage for any group I go with.

I am betting HydroGuy is correct, although if you're worried why don't you just pay for your daughter and have her pay you back? Have a great time!
Only because I am adding the Max Pass to my AP so I wouldn't have to go in and add one for myself each time so I just figured it would be easier if she did it on her phone with her cc.

Here’s my big maxpass tip i have discovered on this trip. If you ever have a period where you have maxpass availability but don’t need to book one - book Big Thunder. That ride is down more than it’s up. I have received 5 multi-experience passes just from big thunder this trip. And if it happens to be up - go ride it. No harm no foul. :)

How does multi experience work with MaxPass? If you have a ride booked and it’s down during your MaxPass time, a multi experience pass just shows up on the app for each person? Thanks for explaining :)
