First time in the world oct. 2014

Sorry to hear of your health issues. But, happy you are able to collect S.S. Hopefully your husbands back surgery will go wonderfully and he will feel like a new person by the time you go to WDW.

I love the purses! Especially Raini's. (sorry if spelling wrong...I'm so behind no time to stop to check. lol)

I love the ADR plans. Remember not only 180 days ,but to prioritize get the hardest ones you want the most first. Then the others. Just a thought.

The tea party looks absolutely adorable. My 10 y/o would love that. Some of her friends, maybe not so much. Seems some "grow up" so much faster than others. We took DD to the Wonderland Tea party one year. (the less expensive one. not sure they even still have it). Unfortunately, she didn't love it the way I had hoped. There was another little girl there that was a bit unruly, and it took all the cm's to keep her under control. DD's favorite part was when they opened the doors to the parents & she got to yell surprise & hand me flowers. I wish I could talk her into trying it again, because with other little girls that wanted to be there & were well mannered, she would probably have a wonderful time. ( Please no flames, I understand there are some children with medical issues, I'm not judging. I am just stating from my DD perspective. )

I love your countdown! hmm... just over 9 months? just about a pregnancy, remember how quickly those went. Before you know it, your vacation will be here!!

After figuring the tip cost and the price to bump to deluxe we have decided it's just not worth it and going back to the reg. DP with a few extra meals...the hard part is deciding which ADRs we want now I know the 7th will still be the afternoon tea and Fultons.......?? but what else do we wanna keep?

Even though I'm sure you are disappointed in not bumping up to the deluxe, good for you for being rational about it.

Your meals look great! I'm especially happy you are keeping CP before rope drop. That has become one of my favorites! Can't wait to do it again.

I think we are going to see Frozen today. FIRST though we have to get a tree. I know the NE Patriots are on at 1 today, but I am DVR the game, so when DH gets home it is out to get a tree. Then hopefully, he will agree to Frozen, then he can watch the game when DD is getting ready for bed.

It was hard to give up all that lovely food, but we just had to do it. Now our problem is we have no idea what order to make our adrs as we have never done it before and don't know what is more (popular) Any one want to list them in the order we should make them?:rotfl2: Thanks for all the help, we really appreciate it!

it's sounds wonderful!!!

With the construction around the Poly i HEARD they are going to be strict with visitors and the beaches. Don't quote me.. as things around there are changing DAILY but it's one of the rumors.

you BETTER order some Tonga toast!!!! :hyper: best stuff on the planet.. just sayin.

My DH had back surgery the 30th of dec stayed in the hospital until the 3rd when he was moved to the nursing home for rehab. He hates it there ,food is terrible and has and old guy next door who yells for a nurse every 5 min 24/7. So he's not getting much rest but it was the only open room. But he has to stay until he can get in and out of bed without using the grab bars. And be able to go up our front steps. Of course he wants me to stay with him all day. I did stay 24/7 when he was in hospital but it's not practical now. :( Poor guy I feel sorry he has to stay there wish he could come home.

Surgery went well??

i pray for a speedy recovery!!!

surgery went very well. Poor Frank, he just doesn't like rehab. They have moved him to a different room now though so maybe he's doing better. Hopefully this will help with his constant pain (and make him a happier Disneyworld visitor!!!:lmao:)

Know your in my thoughts. :flower3:

Thank you, yes surgery went very well rehab is at the nursing home so there food is bland and easy to chew..........not what Frank likes to eat at all! I have brought him in home cooked meals a couple times. We were at a snow emergency lv 3 for almost 3 days so he was going stir crazy by the time I got to go visit yesterday. They down graded to lv 2 about 11am. PT wears him out by the end of his hour long session he needs a nap and he goes 2 hrs a day 5 days a week. So they should whip him into shape in no time.... :rotfl:

Frank is doing very well in the nursing home. He is in his second room, it's a little bigger, and his third roommate......lol long story but he get's along with this guy so that's good. Had his two week post surgery check up yesterday. they changed some of his meds and called the nursing home because they had some questions seems like the nursing home wasn't giving him 2 of his meds so that is straightened out now. So he is on the road to recovery.

On the Disney side of things Raina and I moved our date up a week.....lol
24sept-5oct still 12 days, 11nights.

Good news!!!

Yeah she is in the Facebook group! i laughed when she said that!

Trish, I just wanted to say how glad I am that they got Frank's meds straightened out and he's doing so much better! It's so hard when progress is so slow. I'm sure he's more than ready to come home. Hopefully he'll get stronger every day and will be able to get back home before too long.

How are you holding up? It can't be easy for you either. At least your have your Disney trip to keep you distracted. I got behind on most of my PTRs and TRs, but now I feel I can catch up again. Hope you have a great day!

I'm getting caught up slowly, but thought I'd answer your question about which ADRs would be more popular. Of the ones you are thinking about, I'd say Ohana's first and then TRex. The others shouldn't be a problem. Did you know that Fultons and Artists Point are both 2 credits on the meal plan? Just making sure. I've always wanted to eat at both places, but hate the thought of spending 2 credits for one meal. I guess one day we'll upgrade to the deluxe when dining plan is free and then do a lot of 2 credit meals. Hope you are finding retirement relaxing.

We briefly thought about upgrading to deluxe, there are sooooooo many places we want to try out!!:p The extra cost in tips though would be more than us just paying out of pocket for a couple of these meals. We just read a blog that says it is a better deal to pay OOP for the sig rest and use the credits on the other meals so that is what we are doing. Plus then we can share meals at these "fancy" places.....the kids will probably just eat some of ours and get dessert. Hopefully it works out for us!!!!
