I went alone with my 4 year old son, here are my pros and cons....

Pros
Being there..... Ive always wanted to go as a child, so had to take my 4 year old, even though it ment going alone.
EMH, this was great, managed to ride some rides twice
Ques were small, most 15 minutes, this was enough for a 4 year old that just didnt get queing!
Meeting the characters and shows
As we was leaving the park for the train home, I said to my son, wave bye to mickey and say see you again soon - Mickey came running over and cuddled him! It was so magical for him to do that!

Cons
The very large blisters on my feet, never have i done so much walking.
The toilets (when I could find them) where always wet and smelt really bad - reminded me of mens toilets but worse. (sorry men)
People running pass or under barriers when walking around the queing systems - Its simply pushing in.
The rides that was closed, seemed alot to me!
I struggled with the shows being in french or the english was so fast... My 4 year old never commented.
I thought there might have been more characters! Never saw Donald (only on float)
My son saw 2 mickeys very close together! Was asking how he got in front of us before us!

You're not alone Hanksy - I have good walking shoes which always come to DLP with me, and I still get blisters (there are always loads of plasters in my bag ;)).

How brill that Mickey gave your son a goodbye hug!
Donald was out on Tuesday in the Studios park in the afternoon, every 30 minutes or so for a couple of hours. He was with Emile and Remy, and Woody and Jessie.

Didn't you know there are Magic Tunnels all over DLP :rolleyes1:rolleyes1? Thats how the characters manage to get from one area to another so quickly.

Toilets can be hit and miss at DLP - I personally don't particularly like using the ones across from Peter Pan, or the ones near BTM. I think its because these ones are used most, and some guests just don't know how to aim  ! I did see an attendant cleaning thoroughly in the Peter Pan ones this time though, and didn't find any problems with smell or water etc lying around in any of the other toilets we used, including the ones in Studio One.

We went on Wednesday to the studio and it was Woody, Remy, emile and the incrediables.

I realised it was about being at the right place at the right time.
We followed the Disney dance express as son insisted in following it, then sat and had a snack on the benches and it must have been change over time, loads of characters was coming in and out of the doorway there.... Told son they all needed to the toilet at the same time, lol

You hit the nail on the head here, these are the main 2 we used!

we were probably in the same areas on Wednesday afternoon then :) - we were in the Studios from around 1pm until 4pm, when we had to leave to catch our train back to the airport.

I have walked miles and miles around WDW and a few miles around DLRP and 'always' get blisters.
I must be doing something wrong I guess!

Yay for no blisters!! I rotated flats and timberlands (looked hidious, felt great) over the four days and came home blister free. I did always have a different pair stashed under DSs buggy which was my best foresight yet!

Welcome home hanksy. We found the character meetings to be a bit hit or miss. That whole meet the characters in WDS was an awful scrum. Wanted to meet Woody and Jessie and maybe Stitch but we could only get near Emile. We did get to meet Donald but I'm gonna rant and say his CM on thursday could really have done with paying attention. 10 minutes DD waited patiently and we were stood on, pushed and dragged from all sides. Scrumming seemed to be rewarded.

Thats so cute with Mickey giving your DS a goodbye hug :lovestruc

So we weren't the only ones who found the toilets disgusting! Hey, Disney! Get your act together!
