I'm sorry if this has been posted--I looked in the FAQ thread and didn't see it but if someone could point me to it that would be great.

We're going to WDW in 10 days. I have a scooter for my husband reserved through Apple. His issue is he had knee surgery last Fall that ended up getting a serious infection in the bone. He is doing good, but still doing PT and his bone is still weak and sore, especially when he climbs stairs. He doesn't need the scooter all the time, mostly just for use as transportation in the park instead of walking everywhere. Waiting in lines is fine, as I wouldn't enter a line that had a 60 minute wait anyway, BUT he can't climb stairs without being in serious pain.
So I am going to get a GAC card that states that his problem is with using stairs.

Can anyone tell me if there is a list of what attractions have stairs? It would be helpful if I knew this ahead of time before getting in the line so I can be prepared to show the GAC card.

Also, is it OK to "park" the ECV in different areas we are in while visiting attractions in that area? Like Epcot, can I park it near Test Track, and do attractions in that area?

Thanks for any help. :)

Something to keep in mind - in case he does start to get tired, he can stay on the ECV in most ride lines if he finds he needs to. (I'm a big fan of backup plans.)

I was using an ECV in April after knee surgery so have recent experience. If he stays in the ECV for lines he won't need a GAC - they have different entrances or accommodations for non-ambulatory guests - for example, at Toy Story Mania, you enter the normal line, driving the ECV, when you get up close to the front where the normal line takes you up stairs, there is a separate entrance for your ECV and party. It does not necessarily save you time because you have to wait for any other folks in front of you with wheelchairs and ECVs but you don't do the stairs and since he is sitting the entire time you don't have to worry about him getting tired.

I would just stay in the ECV! I did park mine for short trips into stores or restaurants because they are a hassle in stores but I rode it most times through lines. There are only a few rides where the normal entrance can't accommodate the ECV like Peter Pan.l
