First time going to Universal.

We are going to Orlando next February. This will be our first trip to Universal. Any tips? We are staying at our DVC resort and just will urber/lyft to those parks.

I am hoping that time of year we really wont need express passes.

What are the best places to eat? etc. My DD is pretty excited about going.

If you can I'd eat at one of the restaurants in CityWalk as there's lots of gems there. Cowfish is one of my faves but there's lots of choices. Depends on what you fancy.

In the parks I'd say Mythos. I like the Bumblebee Man's Taco Truck in the Simpsons area for a bigger snack. The Harry Potter restaurants are well themed. Confisco Grille and Finnegan's are two restaurants I haven't tried yet but have been recommended in the past so will be checking them out in September. You have to try a butterbeer.

In February you should definitely be fine and not need EP.

For Quick Service -
IOA - Thunder Falls Terrance and Three Broomsticks
USF - The Leaky Cauldron and Simples BLVD
City Walk - Take the escalator and there is a verify of different cheaper options such as Burger King, Panda Express, Moe's, Breadbox. Red Oven pizza is down below too, but I mention taking the escalator since it's almost like a mall once you're up there due to the variety of choices.
