First time FW here, going to a cabin tomm, with two kids aged 4 and 6 months. A y tips, suggestions? I'll be driving in so I'm planning on bringing lots of groceries. I'd like to do bkfst and lunch in the cabin to save a bit. We aren't planning on having lots of park time, just enjoying the campgrounds. Dd loves to swim, so that's important. Just want lots of r&r for mommy before the lo's wake up in the morning!
Welcoming any and all tips please!

OH you will have a great time. Considering the age of your kids, you will love the cabins. When the little one is napping, you can still do thing in the other parts of the cabin.

Here is my short list of things to bring for the cabins:

Fold able laundry basket. (found mine at Target). I put it at the end of the bed in the bedroom. All of the weeks dirty stuff goes right there. And not the floor, bed rails etc.

3M Hanger strips (whatever they are called). I use them for towels, lanyard etc. Then when you leave, just take em down.

solar lights for the golf cart. (easy to find that way and more fun)

The coffee cups are sooooo small. I always bring a bigger one from home. They are like joke cups if you are really a coffee drinker.

The first time we went my son was 3. He loved checking out the horses and the pony's. Loved the boat ride to Disney and the golf cart. We also brought small trucks to play in the sand.

I am sure there is more...if i think of anything else, I will add it. :goodvibes

If you start reading these camping threads you'll find pretty much all your answers.

You are gonna have a great time. The fort is a wonderful place to stay. I notice that you said you were gonna spend lots of time in the parks, but also plan on having lunch at the cabin. I gotta tell you that it takes quite a while to get back to your cabin from the parks. First you gotta get out of the park to the bus stop, then wait for your bus. Take the bus back to the fort then wait for a bus to take you to your cabin. Prepare lunch then do the whole thing backwards. Allow 2 1/2 to 3 hours for all this. Disney lunches can be had for about $12, plus the portions are large enough to share depending on your appetite. Have a big breakfast and pack some snacks.

You will love the cabins- my tip: Bring a double stroller, even if you think the 4 year old won't ride in it. (S)he will!! And if by some miracle you only need it for the baby, you have extra space to stash bags etc. I would plan breakfast and dinner at the cabin, rather than lunch, but that all depends on your families needs.
Have a great trip! :goodvibes
