Northwest is the only airline that services our area...so, they are the only airline we ever use.

Yes, they do have assigned seats..as a matter of fact, you can go onto their website and select your own seats....we do this every trip and it is great! We even print our own boarding passes before we leave home...

Northwest does tend to use some planes that have been in service for a while. (I believe some of their planes are older than I am), however, they take very good care of them, and have a rather impressive safety record. (The only accidents that I'm aware of involving Northwest planes in the last 10 years have been ground accidents, with no passengers on-board)

Northwest is my airline of choice. If I have a choice, and the prices are reasonably similar, I'll fly Northwest over any other major US carrier.

Thanks for all the positive info.We are from Canada and this will be our first trip on a Us Airline. Happy Holidays everyone!

This may not apply to bookings made online, but as a travel agent, I haven't been able to book seats until 90 days prior to the travel dates when I book with my airline system. But they may allow online bookings to do it sooner.

Happy travels!

NWA has a 90 day window that you can pick you seats out from.
