Hi! Just a few questions for all of you Disney experts out there, if you don't mind. :D

What time does Toontown open...and does it open at the same time every day, even if it's an EE day?

Does anyone know how much the Mickey ears hats are? Is there any place that's better than others to get the hats? I think I read somewhere that you can get the personalized? Is that right? (cost??)

Also (since I'm a scrappin' mommy!) is there a place in the MK that sells the nice 12x12 scrapbooks, or do I have to go to DD?

Thanks in advance! :)

When we were there last week, Toontown didn't open until 10 a.m. I think the ears hates were 6.95 and we purchased them on Main Street in the MK at one of the first stores on the right -- I don't remember the name. They engraved them there while we waited.

thanks for the quick reply! We'll be there in 2 1/2 weeks...I can't wait! :)

I've seen the scrapbooks and other scrapping paraphenalia in the Emporium shop on Main Street.

ooh, wonderful....I'm not sure we'll have time for DM, so I didn't want to have to make a special trip there just for a scrapbook! Thanks!

The hat shop where they personalize the ears is called the Chapeau (I think)...no additional charge. We got ours first thing when we entered the MK!

Sandylion makes a really nice 12 x 12 albulm that is a TRUE 12 x 12. You can choose between a Mickey, Pooh, or Cinderella. All are very cute. I used the Mickey one for my Disney scrapbook last year. I think it was 29.99 at my LSS.

Watch out for some of those WDW scrapbooks; they're really nice but the pages are larger than 8-1/2 x 11, but also smaller than 12 x 12. Boo Hiss . . . . .

I attempted to order refills for my album after we arrived home, but found that the supplier listed on the sheet which came with the album no longer makes refills that size. Slow burn . . . . .

As far as the mickey ears go, I do think it's better to get them at the Christmas shop in DTD, than at the parks. The hats are the same, but the embroidery is much nicer, and you can choose different colors. However, it is not free. I think we paid a few extra dollars per hat.

For scrap booking, www.mousememories.com has some really neat things. Lots of great stickers and die cuts, plus the 12x12 books (they sound like the ones someone described earlier!)

Find out what time Toontown opens and try to be there EARLY. We were the "first family" in TT last Christmas and it was too cool:cool: Mickey greets you at the door to his house, and takes you on a tour. I just heard of this by word of mouse;) I don't believe it is promoted anywhere. The photo opps are fantastic!

I've purchased the scrapbooks at The Character Warehouse at Belz Factory Outlet Mall. Although you asked specifically about purchasing at MK, I got such a good deal ($10-$12) I thought I should let you know. You can get some really good souveniers there at great prices (although you won't find any Mickey ears).:earsgirl:
