Hey guys - I'm a WDW vet, but this year we are taking a trip December 15-20.

This will be the first time that we've been down there for the Christmas season. We normally do Spring or Fall.

I'm planning to get to a Very Merry Christmas party and a Cadlelight processional.

I'm booked into BLT right now, but I'm debating moving to Wilderness Lodge.

I'd really like to get some general thoughts about the party and candlelight. Some thoughts about how bad crowd levels will be at that time. (I"m hoping since it's earlier in the month, it won't be TOO bad). Thoughts on moving resorts as well.

We love being on the monorail, and I think it would be fun to see the trees/decorations at those resorts. But I'm wondering if Wilderness does anything extra special.

This trip is my graduation gift to myself. Woo-hoo! I'll be graduating from an accelerated Masters in Nursing program.

Your first smart move is doing it earlier in the season. We went the week between New Years and Christmas in '12 and that's the last time ill ever do that.
Crowds aside (preposterous that week) The decorations are spectacular, Dont miss the Osbourne lights in the Studios, and enjoy! Congrats on your graduation!

DH and I are also WDW vets but had never been at Christmas. We went this past Dec (8-13). We loved it!! The decorations were great. We loved the MVMCP and the Candlelight Processional. We did the dinner package with CP. We had the 8:15 show. It was really crowded. they didn't let many standby people in. We got in line as the earlier show was finishing up and we were lined all the way back to Morroco. So get in line a little early. We also enjoyed the Osborne lights. We went to see those after Fantasmic. It was really crowded at first but if you wait around a little bit it really clears out. Don't forget to get your picture with Goofy Santa.

Before the party we took the monorail to the 3 resorts to see their decorations and we really enjoyed it. You can get into the party at 4pm.

If you want a picture with the 7 Dwarfs at the party you have to get in line early. We got in line about 6:30 and waited about 40mins. Not to bad.

If you get a chance go over by POTC and see the band the Rusty Cutless. They are a pirate band doing Christmas songs. It wasn't on the program our waiter at Tony's told us about it. they were really good.

Have a great trip!!
