First time doing Illuminations - 7:30 ADR

We have never done Illuminations before...We have a 7:30 ADR at La Hacienda. What should be our plan of attack to watch following dinner? We are staying at BC so if our location puts us closer to getting out afterward that way, even better.

First off, try to request a window seating for a spectacular view of Illuminations. Even wait a bit if a window seating area is not immediately available when you arrive, The front desk should be able to advise you on availability, keeping in mind those seats are coveted at your dinner time. If you do leave the restaurant to view, I would say to just go to the promenade area between Mexico and Norway, excellent viewing.

As for leaving, just head on out through International Gateway, a nice after-closing stroll of World Showcase. It is very pretty after closing, great photo ops.

The first time we seen this show, I could not believe the amount of heat coming off the fire. We were not right in front.

If you're planning to eat and leave to watch Illuminations, you can watch anywhere. We used to always watch in Canada, probably the closest to the fire effects. On our last trip we walked out of a 7:45pm ADR at Via Napoli and got great view right there in Italy.

One important thing to check is the wind direction.
