This is my first post so you will have to bear with me.

]Me and my partner and two sons age 3 and a half and 20 months are going to DLP on Thursday for 6 days 5 nights. for the first time!!!

We are staying at the New York Hotel, firstly anyone got anything to tell me about this hotel, what do you all think??

Secondly, Im really worried about the weather, as I have looked on a few web sites and it seems for the duration of my hols its gonna be raining. What happens in dlp when its raining with regards to the rides and parades, as I believe there is a princess parade, are there any other parades???

Thirdly, what are the most expensive places to eat and what are the more reasonably priced?

Thanks for all your responses

Welcome to the DIS rio's mum!!

The Hotel New York is a good choice!! :) Like the Disneyland Hotel, the rooms at the NY are a little more spacious than the other onsite hotels, but unlike the Disneyland Hotel, you're not paying loads more money for the location!! Having said that, I find the New York to be very well situated - only a 10 minute walk to the parks, and close to a good choice of restaurants in the Disney Village and at the other onsite hotels. Have you had a look at the HNY FAQ here?

To get an idea of prices at the DLP restaurants, have a look at the DLP Foodguide. The most expensive places to eat are the two restaurants at the Disneyland Hotel, and (I think) the Manhattan Restaurant at the Hotel New York.

Thanks very much will check them out, any idea about the attractions in the rain ??

Sorry!! Many attractions are still doable in the rain - the rides and the queueing being all undercover. I don't recommend Dumbo in the rain though - been there, done that, got the wet bottom!!! :teeth:

I think it was also mentioned recently by someone in the know, that parades are only cancelled during very wet conditions.

But don't worry - forecasts are usually wrong :wizard:

For my trip a couple of weeks ago the forecast was rain all week... but in fact it was like this the whole time:

Hotel New York is a great choice. we have stayed there twice and I would love to stay there again. ( My dd says if I am a good girl!)

Welcome Tracy

The weather in Sept in Paris is usually good so fingers crossed for you. Just go prepared for the rain. On our 1st day last June it rained all dayed yet we managed all the rides we wanted to.
