The title says it all really. This is the first time we've not done a package deal and I'm just worried I have forgotten something vital. So far I've booked:

Car hire
Flights
Accommodation
Hotel night before
Travel insurance

Is there anything major that I've missed? Don't need park tickets as we've still got 2 days on our Disney tickets from last year and we're only planning on doing Epcot anyway (would be a shame not to if we're staying at the Boardwalk ;) ). We've both got APs for Universal so may spend a couple of days there too.

Hi Joh,
Only things i could think of were airport parking (didn't know if someone was dropping you off day before or if it comes with hotel), and making your ADRs which I'm sure you've done already:goodvibes Do you have your $ ready to go and do you know where your passports are?

Other than that Relaxxxx...you'll be fine, so enjoy!!!Hope you all have a great time and hope you'll want to share the details when you come home,

I can't think of anything which Claire hasn't already mentioned. I find I can calm my mind by making a 'Document Checklist' and putting everything together in one place (I make similar lists for equipment and toiletries, but I'm not sure I should admit to that :crazy: ). For my last trip, it looked like this:

::MickeyMo Flight tickets
::MickeyMo Passports
::MickeyMo Driving Licences
::MickeyMo Voucher for airport parking
::MickeyMo Voucher for Clubhouse Lounge
::MickeyMo Accommodation confirmations (for Orlando and the airport hotel)
::MickeyMo Villa information and driving directions
::MickeyMo Voucher for car hire
::MickeyMo Flying Club Cards
::MickeyMo Disney passes
::MickeyMo Universal passes
::MickeyMo DDE card
::MickeyMo Travel insurance policy
::MickeyMo Itinerary
::MickeyMo Park Hours/EMH schedule
::MickeyMo Guide book
::MickeyMo Maps
::MickeyMo Currency, including change (or $1 bills) for tolls
::MickeyMo Credit cards (phone beforehand to let them know you're visiting the States)

:dance3:
Clothes packed
Toiletries
Medicines
Camera and Batteries
:dance3:

Looks ok to me so long as you havent forgotten $$$

:yay:

Staying on site and only spending two days at a Disney Park!

The reason it may be wise to tell the bank or credit card company is that if they see some unusual activity on an account or card they may freeze it and call you but they may have a number in the Uk and so you could have problems.

I would ditto the telling your bank or credit card company that you are traveling to the USA.
One of our cards was frozen because they saw unusal activity in another country and for security froze it - which I can see the reason why, but was really annoying when we were in Magic Kingdom!

Staying on site and only spending two days at a Disney Park!

There are 3 very good reasons for that - firstly, DH is not really into Disney and, after all, this holiday is for him. Secondly, last time we went just for a week, it was ruined by trying to fit too much in. And, thirdly, the friends we are going with don't have Disney tickets so it would be unfair of us to spend all our time in the parks, forcing them to either buy tickets or spend their time separately.

The main reason for staying on site is to experience more of the nightlife that Disney has to offer - something we've never been able to do before. Yes, I know, to some not doing Disney while staying onsite is daft but not to us :)
