So my boyfriend and I were looking to take a Disney cruise. We have never been on a cruise before. My boyfriend is somewhat familiar with Caribbean islands because his family used to rent a sailboat and cruise around when he was younger. I have never been farther south then Key West.

I think we've settled on one of the January 2018 cruises that depart from San Juan, PR. I'm having trouble deciding on which cruise to take. There are 3 offered, 2 are almost identical and the other is a bit different. The dates are all good times for us to visit, I'm just having a hard time decided which ports would be best for us.

They are each 7 days with 2 days at sea. I italicized the one port difference of Option A and C and I put in bold the one island all 3 cruises visit.

Option A: San Juan PR, St. John’s Antigua, Castries St. Lucia, At Sea, Willemstad Curacao, Oranjestad Aruba, At Sea, San Juan PR

Option B: San Juan PR, Basseterre St. Kitts, Fort-de-France Martinique, St. John’s Antigua, At Sea, Oranjestad Aruba, At Sea, San Juan PR

Option C: San Juan PR, St. John’s Antigua, Castries St. Lucia, At Sea, Kralendijk Bonaire, Oranjestad Aruba, At Sea, San Juan PR

I looked through each island on the DCL site and glanced through the excursions offered at each island. To be honest...they all sort of started to blend together after I looked at the 5th one or so.

Does anyone who has sailed one of these itineraries or who have been to some of these islands have any advice for me?

We are both in our low 30s and in pretty good shape. We like to hike and see historical stuff. My boyfriend is pretty good at water activities like snorkeling but I am a little wary of it. I'd really like to see a rainforest and maybe a volcano. I'm not very into any dolphin excursions but wouldn't mind seeing other animals like turtles.

I'd really appreciate anyone who could chime in on any of these itineraries or islands. I'm feeling very lost with which option we should book.

If you feel like they blend together looking at pictures wait until you get on the cruise. IMHO if you've see one Caribbean island you've seen them all. I don't think you can go wrong with any itinerary. You can find better deals on tours and such things off the ship. I would go to the port of call section on cc and do some research. Antigua was probably my favorite, but like I said there's not a lot of differences between the islands. They all have beautiful beaches and warm water. The Pitons in st Lucia are neat to see, but it's a long winding drive from the port. St kits is a nice Island to do a bus tour. I haven't been to curaçao or Aruba yet. I'm going this Fall. I'll come back with my opinion for those of you sailing on Disney. When we did this on DCL the islands were a little different. We went to Barbados and Grenada.
