Can anyone tell me if this credit is still available.

Contact your TA. They should be able to get it for you if it still exists. Good Luck

I asked our DU travel agent to ask about the code REF (got it from these boards), and she called back to say, no problem, the $50 onboard credit was applied to our account. Give it a try...can only say no. Think the code tho is for first time travellers, so should work in your case

according to du the credit is only good right now for cruises in 2003. I inquired about it yesterday, and was told that they have not extended the first time cruise ship board credit for 2004 cruises yet.:(

I called my TA and asked for the $50 first time credit and was able to get it (booked through AAA). A few weeks later I learned of a $100. credit using the code BBO. She was able to change my credit to $100. This is only if you are sailing for 7 days. If you are sailing 3 or 4 days, I believe it is still $50. I am not sure if this code is still good. Hope this helps.

We are cruising at the end of this month, so of course, everything has already been paid for and I have the documents. Can I still have my TA arrange for this credit or is it too late????

I had my DU travel agent ask about the BBO code for $100 and she tried, but they turned her down....apparently you have to ask for this at the time you make your deposit and apparently it is supposed to be only for people who received a postcard in the mail. It seems to be a hit and miss code...some get it, some don't.

Thanks for this thread. I called my AAA agent and got the $50 credit. The new code is CTC, not REF anymore.....

that must be a AAA perk. nice. i I just called DCL, and they refused my request, told me they just credit for repeat cruisers. which i will be soon enough!!

I don't know how pushy you want to get. I called my TA and the first time she said she had no luck. I called DCL and although I could not get information for my specific account, I asked about the code and what I would get with the code. The agent at DCL was very helpful and told me if my TA called she would be able to get the discount for me. I called my TA with this info and she called again and was able to get it. The only thing is I don't have it yet. It is a shipboard credit, so hopefully it will be there when I get on the ship. I hope this makes sense to all of you.

since i booked through DCL myself, i guess i'm out of luck.... i'm learning alot this first time out.... what to do next time!! get a good TA for #1!

I got the CTC $50 credit this morning then saw this site and learned about the BBO. I called my agent and she checked with DCL. They said that BBO is only worth $50 and I already had that with CTC. Oh, well, I tried......

I GOT MINE!

Just got a call from my AAA Agent. She confirmed BDO & REF are both worth $50 now. I Used "REF" which apparently is a referral code from a Castaway Cay Member.

I hereby assume I was referred by my good friend Rae.

We are doubly lucky because we have two rooms, we get $100 total.

LISAk1:

If DCL is giving you a hard time, Transfer your reservation to a TA. I learned how here and it was no problem. I use AAA and got four soda mugs passes (value = $35 ea = $140), two free DCL towels ('cause I called during a special week for our local club) and now get $100 credit. Total of over $250 in value and easy as pie.

Question:

I seem to remember somepeople had trouble a while back actually getting their onboard credits once on board. any feedback on this lately?

If you count the over $100 in travel insurance savings, I ahead about $400 Directly due to this board.

That would by Rae a lot of shrimp!

We got the REF $50 credit for our recent Wonder cruise.

Just for giggles, I went to Guest Services on Monday night to verify that our credit was on the account. It was not.
They were very helpful and promised to call CRO the next day to research the credit. Very early the next morning, I received a phone call to tell me that I indeed had a credit and that my account would be adjusted immediately.
Later that day, I recieved a call confirming that the credit had been applied.

Thanks Geri.

I will definitely check once on board.

TTFN!

Is this for first time cruisers or first time with DCL?

I'd cruised other places but never DCL, So I assume it is first time DCL
