We are planning to go on our first cruise ever next year. Should we go on the dvc member cruise or the regular one? Which one is better as a first timer? Would love to hear experiences

Price wise, I’m pretty certain a regular cruise is cheaper.

I know that it is more expensive and also the use of points is bad. Mostly wanna know about entertainment offered and the experience overall

If you want to hear more about “behind the scenes” things and perhaps hear/see Disney performers entertain, then do the DVC MC.

For Instance, there’s a drawing class on most DCL cruises, when you go on a DVC MC, the class is presented by a Disney animator. Or, it may be a animator like Stacia giving a talk while she is drawing, and then her drawings are given away, and everyone gets a chance. There are usually more than 10 drawings given away each presentation.
Alex Maher was the presenter here. This is the one I took home!

This one is Stacia Martin.

DD and I went on the DVC MC 2019 (last one pre-pan times) and enjoyed it so much!!! Even with our crazy storm and we’re turning, hold on tight from the captain. There were so many special activities. There was a last minute port change because of the storm and everyone on board was terrific about adding presentations and activities. It was a much older crowd than usual. That’s my only MC so doing know it that’s the norm if not. Would go again in a second! - when dates work out that I can.
