We are visiting family in florida and stopping in Orlando on the way home. We are spending 2 nights in the hotel, so basically have 1 full day there. We love rollercoasters so thought Islands of Adventure would be the best park. The only rides we don't care for are the ones that spin you round and round. Should we just get the 1 park pass or try to do both parks the same day? Thanks!

When are you going? The time will affect how much you can get done.

We will be there Saturday June 27th. Plan to get to the park at opening. I know it will be a busy day.

If you are planning to do everything in both parks, I would say no...you can't do it in a single day. If you are only concentrating on coasters and thrill rides then you shouldn't have a problem. You can always upgrade your tickets if you purchase the one park tickets but need the two park instead.

I agree one day is not enough to do both parks :thumbsup2

One day's not enough time to do everything, but it would help to have the Front of the Line access. Are you staying in a Universal hotel? Not waiting on lines would help get the big rides all done in a day.

I have a room on hold and will probably stay on site. It would be worth it to get through the rides without a long wait.

Staying on-site will give you the FOTL privlege. If you want to go commando style you can do the major rides in one day.But you wont see everything!!It will be a long long day tho..

That would be tough. We tried to do it once and it was tough to say the least. You will be exhausted (especially if the weather is hot, the parks are crowded, etc). If you are travelling with children, this would be double difficult. IMHO, trying to do both parks would be like trying to see Disney Studios and the Animal Kingdom in one day....it just wouldn't happen. I would suggest just picking one park and enjoying it. If you tried to do both, you probably wouldn't like them as much and the experience would be overwhelming, even with the FOTL access. But, like Metro said, you could stat with a single park pass and upgrade to a 2 park pass if you decide later in the day to try to tackle them both.

Actually, we did both parks at the beginning of May. Parks were open 9am to 7pm and we were there at opening. We did some selective touring, skipping all of Seussland. We started at IOA, went over and did USF (Terminator was closed, unfortunately) and then went back and hit the Hulk a couple more times and did the wet rides. We did a ton of walking and crammed a lot in in one day but that is all we had. We did not have FOTL passes. If you try this, make sure you go with a plan!!;)
