Boma is our family favorite!!! The ambiance and staff are both amazing. But of course it's all about the food! There are so many unique and delicious options. I would encourage you to take small portions and try as many things as your stomach will allow! I absolutely love the soups and salads, so I tend to fill up on them! My kids love meat, so they focus on the entrees. And DH seems to find room for everything! Take your time, relax and enjoy! In fact, if you like wine, they have some wonderful African wine selections to complement your meal. Just ask our server for a suggestion. You won't be disappointed!

We love Boma! Besides that it's different than anything else on property, it doesn't have that mass-prepared something to it like a lot of other places at WDW.

I love the food, but one minor complaint. It may have just been a bad night, but the last time we went the line for the carving station was never less than 20 people deep and moved very slowly. I refuse to spend that much time standing in line. Luckily there are plenty of other options to be had with virtually no wait.

We had a late breakfast there. I really wanted to try the zebra domes, but they are not on the breakfast buffet. Thanks to all the Dis'ers on here, I learned that you ask your server, you may be able to get them, and we did!! Enjoy!

You can get them at Mara, too. Loved stumbling on them there - I took a 6 pack back to my room and, uh, didn't share even one!!

Boma - my favorite place. Breakfast or dinner. YUM!!

Love the sauces for the meats, the salads, the soups (OMG, the soups!), hummus and flatbreads, the desserts, etc. Something for everyone, everything tastes fresh. I am at the point where WDW dining is finally "over the line" on ridiculous costs, but I will STILL go to Boma. Love it!

DD and I treated ourselves to both breakfast and dinner there last Nov, as there were just the 2 of us on that trip. We thoroughly enjoyed both meals. Loved the different seasonings.

We are buffet people, as we like to be able to control the pacing of our meal. Loved the pod layout here and at Tusker House. Yes, the carving station lineups could be long, but great that you could totally work around them and just pick up the carved offerings when the line shortened. We did not realize this until we had been through the first time and it would have been nice if the servers offered this info during our pre-dinner chat.

Whenever we stay at AKL we make it a point to eat at Boma at least once. We had breakfast there twice on our trip earlier this month, it is that good. French toast bread pudding with sauce, made to order omelets, grilled asparagus and tomatoes, sticky buns, donuts and apple pastries, scrambled eggs with goat cheese and spinach, orange cranberry bread,mmmmmmmmm. Also, the fruit was the best that we had all trip and we did a ton of TS dining for 13 days.

Try a little sampling of everything, especially the soups. Even if something doesn't look or sound appealing, try it. You may be surprised.

We enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Boma's but felt a little stressed having young kids. We were seated pretty far from the carving station with the longer line, so we got food for our kids first but then had to walk across the restaurant to wait in line. Then by the time we got back to our table with our food, their food was gone and they wanted more. My older kids were ok because they could go and get food by themselves but it was hard with the 1 and 3 year olds.

We had an amazing experience visiting AKL though. We got there early and a CM gave us a tour of the resort and showed us the animals and hidden Mickeys. Then the CM asked us if we wanted to be part of a drum circle, so we got to learn how to do some drumming and the kids each got a little drum bead on a necklace for participating. It was my husband's favorite part of our whole Disney trip. Very magical!
