first time BC stay

I too am a lounge lizard. Started in 1999 when we were upgraded at the GF. It was great. My husband, who usually isn't impressed with much asks only one question for our vacation-it IS concierge,right? We are staying in the BC for the first time in October and just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for room location(we're water view concierge), places to eat,cool stuff for the kids. How long does it take to get to MK? Any suggestions are welcome.

We fell in love with Beach Club since we stayed there 2 years ago- I will not go back to disney without staying there-

Pool is the best in disney property- they actually check the resort ID card when you enter pool area and submit bracelets to enable you to swim there-

The trip to MK is easy via bus- no long wait in our experiences-

The best feature is the ability to walk to epcot- so close!!! And the boardwalk too- lots to do there for a relaxing dinner or stroll- be sure to try Flying Fish Cafe- our favorite restuarant in disney by far!

Overall, this resort is so relaxing while at disney- is set apart from the hustle and bustle, yet in the middle of so much!

The Beach Club our home away from home. July will be our 3rd visit. Kids love the pool and think of it as the 5th park. Hubby and I like the proximity to Epcot, Boardwalk & MGM.

We do a lot of night strolling at the Boardwalk and it holds nice memories for our family (sort of a winding-down tradition at the end of a busy day) As far as room view, we've had both water & standard. The lighted Boardwalk at night is pretty, but in all truth...how much time does one spend in the room? We crashed so quickly that we spent little time looking outside. But it is a personal preference so go with what's best for your family.

The service has always been impeccable, all requests being met. We had one episode (that now makes us laugh) where a teeny, and I mean teeny, lizard-type critter skittered across the floor. I had thought it to be one of the kids toys and reached for it...eek...that's when it skittered. Called front desk and they gave us a new room within the hour. My sons are teenageers now and have such fun poking fun at 'mom grabbing for the lizard.' sigh. Part of the Magic.
