First time back to OKW in 10 years

I just booked a 1 bedroom at OKW for 5 nights at the end of June. We haven't been in 10 years, what changes have taken place at the resort. Also what were the upgrades to the rooms. I didn't request a specific location, last time was Turle Pond and it was nice. This trip is only myself and my 11 year old. Any suggestions as to where I should request a room? Or just wing it and take whatever they have. Thanks

The rooms at OKW have been recently refurbished with new hardwood floors and carpeting, along with new bedding and draperies.

I always stay at the Turtle Pond Pool, either in vacation homes 41 - 44. Another good location is at South Point, vacation homes 53 - 56. They are both located near their respective bus stop and pool.

I like 45 with the canal view.

I think you have better success winging it when you request a 1 or 2 bedroom, I've never had a bad view, studios are the ones that are a bit iffy! As far as what you might like best for you and your 11 year old depends on if you want to be near the main pool but not in the actual HH category. I've always enjoyed Bldg. 15, it's close to HH, the main pool w/ the slide, Olivia's & the General Store, walking distance actually. If you don't mind being farther out from the amenities, 45/46 are lovely, as well as 55 which is by a quiet pool!

Thanks, I just requested upper level room and whatever they give me is fine. My sons requested BWV or BLT!! hmm, 25 days out not very likely!! But I love OKW and had them check as they said they only had 3 of he 5 nights and they pulled the other two from that magic place!!!! Enjoy SSR, but since pool wont be done, dont want to deal with construction ,CM said SSR pool should be complete 7/3.
