And we can't wait!!!
We are a family of 4 which includes 7yo son and 5yo daughter
Our flight gets in at 230 PM so we are making it a resort day
I'm looking for on site dinner recommendations
As of now nothing is available for dinner at ohana until 940... bummer.....

Oh my goodness us too only we have 127 more days! We are excited as well as this is our first time staying here. We were able to get a reservation for ohana for breakfast on one of our days. Just keep checking and hopefully a time will pop up thst works for you. People are always changing their reservations. Hope you have an enjoyable time!

You will love the Poly! That is our family's favorite resort! The bad news is....now that you are going to experience this monorail resort, it will be hard to stay anywhere else.

If you don't get a decent 'Ohana reservation, you could always get it to go and eat in your room.

This is what I was going to suggest. You will love the Poly!!!

The Poly is amazing, you will love it! I agree to keep checking for an earlier Ohana time as people do cancel/change their plans. Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

How exciting! The Poly is such a beautiful and relaxing resort, hope you have a great stay. Congrats on getting an Ohana breakfast, that's one of our favorites :goodvibes.

Have you checked for Kona Cafe? Or any of the other monorail resort restaurants? Whispering Canyon or Artist Point at WL? I would book something at one of those and the keeping checking for ‘Ohana if that’s where you would prefer to eat.

Or you could even order the Twilight Feast from room service and relax in your room.

I would consider going to Kona or even keeping it very flexible and doing QS that evening. You could do QS at Capt. Cook's or take a monorail ride and have QS at GF or CR. You could also consider making a reservation at GF Cafe, Chef Mickey's or the Wave - all accessible by monorail.

Definitely keep checking for Ohana, there is also the ADR finder on Touring Plans (I think you may have to have a subscription for that service). We've had good luck with it, also have been able to find last minute Ohana ADRs. The Twilight Feast is also great if you can't find anything.

Enjoy your trip! Poly is our favorite resort!

It looks like you have a lot of quality options. 1900 Park Fare seems to have availability on your check-in date and is a fun character meal that is a short walk/monorail ride away.

As others have mentioned, there are also a ton of other good options at the MK resorts if you are up for a monorail/boat adventure, including The Wave, Whispering Canyon, Trail’s End...

And in all likelihood you can still make ‘Ohana work too. The TP reservation finder works really well and all you need to do is sign up for the free subscription option to use it. And the carry-out option at ‘Ohana is awesome too.

Good luck, you can’t really go wrong.

have fun!

you could look into the twilight feast for dinner. most of what you’d get at ohana delivered to your room. you can only have it if you’re staying at the poly, so it would be a great way to kick off your vacation :)

Just curious......

Where exactly in the room do you eat this "feast"? Last I remember, there were no tables/chairs in the room and only 2 chairs and a low table if you are lucky to have a balcony.

I miss the old room :(

New rooms didnt add tables either, but I havent been there in 4 years.

we were in a studio. we had a table with two chairs, a balcony, and a couch with a coffee table. a picnic in bed could be tons of fun too.

I was going to suggest the Twilight Feast also until I see that there are no table and chairs in the regular rooms. If you don't want to leave the Polynesian, I agree with other advice to keep checking and to sign up for Touring Plans ADR finder. It worked well for us several times. Sometimes at 5 a.m. or earlier, but it was worth it to jump up and get the reservation! Wherever you end up eating that evening, it will be so fun. Love the excitement of arrival day!

We had a regular room and there was a rectangular table on wheels tucked under the desk. We used the desk chair and the ottoman for the two of us. You could probably wheel it over to the day bed and have the two kids sit there to eat. It took me a day to discover the table because it fit so perfectly under the desk.

Yep. We roll the table that's tucked untied the desk to in front of the sofa. Then use the desk chair on the other side. You could use the chair or ottoman from the corner if needed as well.

We eat in our room often.

I also use the ironing board with a towel on it pushed against the end , or in between the bed (s)too.

On the 'Ohana rez - I signed up for one of the ADR finder apps. I got literally NOTHING until the day we checked in. Then I started getting texts every day! So I could've changed our 4 PM reservation for something later after all (but ended up not, because we had all everything planned out already). People definitely change their plans last minute, so don't lose heart! I'm jealous you're staying at the Poly, after our dinner we walked around and didn't want to leave!
