We are going in Dec as a family of five plus our nanny. We'd like to be close to a bus stop, but other than that don't know much about this resort. Suggestions for a two bedroom villa location?

Each section of SSR has a bus stop very close by. I will say that Grandstand is a good section since its first on the bus route, both going and coming back from the parks. Its also very close to the main area and has a nice pool with spray cannons and its own pool bar and drink refill right there.

We also enjoyed the Paddock. I think its the third stop on the bus route.

We have stayed in all of the sections at SSR and like them all for different reasons. But with a big group, espcially if you have a stroller, being early in the bus route is nice.

Unless something has changed since our last stay, the route is:
Grandstand
Carousel
Paddock
Congress Park

We love SSR, I hope you do too!

We stayed in the Springs last fall and it was great! (we were in a 1 bedroom villa but I assume they also have 2 bd). It was not what we requested but we ended up loving the location. We were right on the golf course, right by a pool, and a few minutes walk to the Artist Palette, bigger pool with slide and bar, spa, check in, quick walk to boats to DTD. A bus stop (the first one at SSR I believe) was right by our building as well. It was definitely nice to be picked up first since the bus was practically full by the time we got to the last stop and it not a very busy time (last week in October). We didn't have to walk more than 5 min get anywhere! We had a great time!
Our only minor complaint was that we always ended up waiting for a bus for about 20 minutes. It was our luck that each day, the bus going to the park we were headed to *just* left and all the other buses were going somewhere else. But we were never in a hurry so it didn't matter too much to us!

We stayed in Congress Park and enjoyed it...especially the quick walk to Downtown Disney. However, it is the last stop for busses, which wasn't too bad considering we went in mid-January, so it was low crowds, but it may be more problematic during a busier time.

The Springs is the last bus stop for travel to the theme parks. During the summer months, it may be difficult to get a seat on the bus since they are usually close to capacity at that point. I've stayed at the Paddocks twice and love the new themed pool and snack area.

Springs is right near feature pool and the restaurants and a quick service station. Also where the movies at night takes place. Paddock is about another 7 minute walk to the springs but this also has a newer yet smaller feature pool. With kiddie area too.

We are staying there too in a month! I'd really like to be by the big pool and the Artist's Palette. But it sounds like even if you are by the Paddock...you have the convenience of snack bar there at the pool....how nice!! So excited!!

We like Congress Park. You can walk to Downtown easily and it's not too far from the main building. The walk to DTD alone was my huge selling point.
