first time at SSR...what to know?

This May will be our first stay at SSR.....any tips on things to request or look for? Best buildings? Food at the resort? Favorite drink at the pool bar?
Any suggestions to make our stay better would be appreciated.
We will be there May 17-25 in a 2 bedroom.
Me, DH, DD 12, DS 9, DD 8 and DBIL (brother in law!)

I'm curious about this too. We're going to be staying at SSR for the first time in August. I've already booked our room and requested to be in either the Springs or the Grand Stand. I've heard both of those are closer to the food and main pool.

Well, I can say that the Pina CoLAVA at the pool bar is very, very good.

Favorite buildings depends on your circumstances and preferences, I would think. Congress Park is close to DTD, Grandstand has it's own themed pool and golf course views for the most part. Carousel is a long walk from the pools and restaurant and, heck, laundry, but if you have a car, it's the easiest to get in and out. The Springs is just very close to the center of things. It's the last bus stop, but if you have little ones who can't walk far and are going to want to swim a lot, it's a good location.

As for food, I like the flatbread pizzas quite a bit, myself, and so do my kids, but some don't like the flatness and crispness in pizza. The cookies and baked goods are also quite good, if you like that sort of thing.

I will certainly try the PinacoLAVA--sounds yummo! At this point I will probably look towards req. the grandstand area as we do not have little ones and we won't have a car.
I will check out the links that were posted to ....thanks to all for the team effort in getting info....
