We're staying at the Poly for the first time next week and I'm so excited! I've been wanting to stay there forever. I have some questions. Which longhouse do you recommend? We'd like to have a balcony as opposed to the patio - can I request that? It's just my husband and myself. We have a garden view. I'd a quiet room. I'd prefer not to look at the parking lot or monorail. We don't have to be that close to the great ceremonial house or the pool. Are there refrigerators in the rooms? Are the Christmas decorations nice there? Anything we should do while we are there? We've eaten at O'hana before and I saw that show when I was little and it doesn't interest us now. I've been reading Tikiman's site, but I just wanted to hear from DISers. My husband and I are giving this trip to each for Christmas and it's our first Christmas being married!
Thank you for your help!

They were extra special. Lots of towel animals and we don't have kids.
Its really my favorite building so far and we have been in almost all of them. Tokelua is a good location but can be a very crowded building and noisy next to the pool. We always have had the noisiest neighbors in tokelau for some reason. I'm afraid to try it again.
Tahiti's garden view is nice and its quiet but its farther out if you don't mind, closer to TTC. Samoa is also noisy, from the pools. We loved our 3rd floor Rarotonga view of monorail / parking lot = could barely see parking lot, had to look for it. Liked watching the monorail. And Aoraotagoa has a nice gv but also we liked watching the monorail, Monorail is far enough away so as not to be intrusive but close enough so you do get to watch it.
