We are staying in a 1 BR at OKW in June and would love to know any tips/recommendations you may have! We will have our own car, so we will be driving to the park and around the resort, I guess. I'm not familiar with making room requests, but if you have any info to share, I'm all ears! It's our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary and our daughter's High School graduation trip, so we want it to be a great one! Thanks in advance!

Be aware that only a few buildings have elevators, so if stairs are a concern, you might consider requesting a 1st floor room.

OKW 1BR has been one of our favorite rooms. The layout has a very open and spacious feel.

Thank you!

We love the Old Turtle Pond Rd bus stop area. We were building 31 our last trip. It was a 10ish minute walk to the Hospitality House if we wanted but otherwise close to our bus stop, if you decide to use transportation. I love the huge patios! Great for relaxing.

One of our favorites. You can take the boat (?ferry) from OKW to Disney Springs. Fun and peaceful ride...you go past SSR and the golf course.

Thank you for the responses so far! Since we will be in our own car, I assume we can drive to the hospitality Center to go to the pool if needed, correct? I don't mind if they put us in a remote Villa, but I don't really want to take the internal bus if I can avoid it, as my daughter tends to get motion sick.

The parking lot near the Hospitality House isn't very large, so you might not be able to find a parking spot if you're driving there just to use the pool.

There are multiple pools on property, and I actually prefer the isolated pool locations. OKW is unique as it was the first property, and Disney went over the top to make it desirable. All the rooms are spacious, well appointed, and well maintained. Olivia's is a great place to eat, but not well known around the property so reservations are easy to get.

There´s a sauna near the main pool. Check out a map so you can request rooms away from the main roads; they can get noisy. We love it there.
