Am staying at HRH for the first time for 5 nights from August 26th - 2 adults/12yr old/ 4 yr old.

I have booked a kid-suite for $383 per night (Super Saver) but would appreciate any info or opinions on whether I should switch to 2 x garden rooms. Garden room rate is $191 per night so exactly the same cost.

Choice will probably come down to the location of the kid-suite / views etc so all advice welcome.

Thanks,
Gary.

I've never stayed in a kid's suite but they look really cool! We just came back from our stay with two connecting garden rooms. They were fine but I think the kid's suite might be more fun.

We stayed in a kid's suite for DSs 16th a few years back - he and a buddy shared the kid's room. The suite is huge (IMHO and if I'm remembering correctly:confused: ). There was an entrance hall inside the room, a large walk in closet (which I easily used to change in when the guys were in the bathroom), a king bed and large living area with a pull out sofa/TV/stereo and chairs in the one room, the kid's room had a door (:thumbsup2 ), two twin beds, a table and two chairs and an armoire with TV & stereo. The only complaint I could have had was that there was only one bathroom - but it was HUGE!! Unless you would like 2 bathrooms (and I think I read that some of the kid's suites do have 2- ours didn't), I would go for the suite - it gives you that great sofa/chairs/TV area for the family to hang in. Either way - Enjoy! - my kid's LOVED HRH when they were teens (and they still do)!!

We stayed in a kids suite at HRH last year. It was a very nice room, with a separate room for the kids with 2 twin beds. Our's only had one bathroom. But the big problem was the noise! It was unbelievable! The room must have been designed poorly as every person simply walking down the hall can be heard. The entryway seems to funnel the sound into the master BR. Even people talking in normal voices sounded like they were shouting. To make it worse, the kids suites (at least ours) was fairly near the elevator, so every single other person in the hall had to walk past the room. So, it was nice in terms of a room, but for us, never again! We would much prefer two connecting rooms. But then, we are light sleepers, if you sleep soundly it may be ok for you. Also, the kids' room was quiet as it had extra doors. Good luck in whatever you decide! BTW - your rate is great for the kids suite!!
