First time at Fort and first time tent camping!

My dad always told me that if you have to explain the joke, then it's not very funny. lol
....

Thats depends on who youre telling the joke to!! Pinkee.....I hope you stick around for a while...you got a good sense of humor and seem like you can roll with the punches pretty well......a true "WELCOME ABOARD" is in order here.:thumbsup2

Oh, your joke was VERY funny, I loved it. But, I guess we've just got that same sense of humor that sadly others just don't have.

Your report made me LOL! Sounds like you had a great time despite the smiley frog and rain. Thanks for sharing!

The I read about everyone's 'adventures' at the Fort, the more I look forward to our upcoming trip.

Thanks for the pictures and the report! :thumbsup2

Oh how funny your frog story! I hate frogs :( they look so creepy.
Well, we were there as well and we saw many tents upside down because of the storms, thank god DH is an expert and our tents were fine.

We had a wonderful time at the fort and cannot wait to go back.

I got the blue dress joke... very witty!

We will be having our first visit to the Fort in October. What dates will you be there? We're also tent camping - not my first experience with that - we're professional "sleep in a tent through a severe thunderstorm" folks. But it will be our first time tent camping at the Fort. CAN'T WAIT! Will remember to bring frog repellent and lock trading pins in the car... taking notes... :coffee:

Awww! Thanks you guys! And thank you for the welcome. :)

Wow! I didn't see that, however we were on the 1700 loop. I only saw one other tent on that loop, and they were fine.

We will be there Halloween weekend. :yay:

LOL . . . yes, frog repellent is on my list now too. :lmao:

I did forget to mention one thing in my report........We went to Trail's End Saturday morning for the breakfast buffet before we left. Ken was our waiter, I guess we got lucky because from what I read in another thread he's leaving? (unless there is more than one Ken at TE?) Anyway, it was a nice way to end the trip. Can't wait to go back also!

Pinkee, I will gladly help you set the tent up if you bring me along. ;) With the cost of gas, dh is strongly considering us going back to tent camping. Just don't know how we would fit all of the gear in the van.

We were in loop 1500 and the site in front of ours was a mess, the tents were one on top of the other, poor people.

I loved your report! You tell a great story and the pictures were great. What a fun trip and think about all the memories you made. I can't wait to read about your next adventure!
