we have been to all the other parks but this will be our first time at Epcot. It will be myself, DH, DS (7) & DD's (5). What are some of your must do's at Epcot? We already have Via Napoli booked for lunch & the CP on Xmas Eve @ GG!!!

Soarin' for sure. Test Track if the kids don't mind fast rides. And be sure to get your pic with Mickey at the Character Spot. Spend time in World Showcase. Some people just blow through it but there's so much to experience there.

I agree on Soarin. Nemo and friends and turtle talk with crush are our favs also. We like world showcase-lots character meets and the gran fiesta tour in Mexico (we ride this over and over!).

We love Epcot. Turtle talk with Crush and the huge aquarium. My daughter spends so much time looking at the fishes. Visit the countries and talk tot he cast members from all the countries. The kids can do the Kids activities at each country and they can learned how to say "Hello" and "Goodbye" in different languages. Take a bite at the French bakery (soooo good). HAVE FUN

Do you have a Chase Disney Visa? There is a special experience in Epcot for Chase Disney Visa cardholders. You will get a meet and greet with 2-4 of the fab five characters and a free 5 x 7 photo. It's worth it to get the card for nothing other than this.

Sum of all Thrills in Innoventions East - program your own thrill ride - our favorite in Epcot

All these responses and no mention of Spaceship Earth? It's definitely a must-do and the defining attraction of Epcot.

Our kids (now 12 and 10) have always loved EP. Some of their favorites:
Test Track
Soarin
Mission Space
Spaceship Earth
Turtle Talk with Crush
Living with the Land
Sum of All Thrills
Gran Fiesta (boat ride in Mexico pavilion)
Watching the miniature trains in Germany
Phineas & Ferb adventures in WS
Eating foods from different countries
Having CMs write their (our kids') names in a passport type book as we go around WS

The movies in France, China, and Canada can be fun as well. Our kids aren't shoppers, but the country pavilions have great shops.

Soarin', Spaceship Earth, Test Track. We also like Turtle Talk, and I LOVE The Land boat ride - not an exciting one or anything, but still pretty cool. My girls like Innoventions - the fire safety game is fun, and they like the piggy bank one too (sorry, not sure of the exact names). You'll be there for Christmas, so go see the guy who blows glass into Christmas ornaments. Check out the countries and the Christmas stories relevant to their countries...Norway, England, France...all great stories!

My favorites:
Spaceship Earth (my favorite attraction in the park)
Test Track
Soarin'
Living with the Land
World Showcase - take the time to go through each country. Watch the videos (China, France, Canada) and rides (Mexico, Norway). It's not only a great learning experience, but can also get you out of the hot sun for a while via the air conditioned attractions and shops.
Illuminations!

As a side note, we always think it's fun to stop by the gift shop in Japan to watch a few oysters opened. You can buy a live oyster with a pearl in it. The cast members who work this area tend to be extremely fun and energetic. I always laugh and have a good time watching them.

To me, Epcot is a completely different park at night. The lighting, sounds, etc. make it very enjoyable. I love the park at night more than during the day.

At that time of year, don't miss the other Holidays Around the World activities, too.

Future World:
  1. Soarin and Test Track, without a doubt. Rope drop one, and FP the other
  2. Sum of All Thrills in Innoventions - design your own rollercoaster, then ride it.
  3. For littler ones in Future World - Nemo, Turtle Talk, The Seas in general, Imagination with Figment, jumping fountains outside of Imagination pavilion

World Showcase:
  1. Agent P Adventures
  2. Maelstrom in Norway
  3. Kidcot Stops if the little ones are interested in coloring (my daughter always was)
  4. Treats! Crepes and pastries in France, Ice Cream in France, Caramel goodies in Germany, pastries in Norway
  5. Shopping! So many fun shops in World Showcase
  6. Live entertainment throughout WS - take your time

My kids that age really enjoyed the Great Piggy Bank Adventure.

Spaceship Earth
Mission: Space
Maelstrom*
Soarin'

There are plenty of other attractions that are fun and certainly worth your time, but I would classify these four as absolute musts.

With kids?

I apologize. I was not aware that having kids specifically forbade one or both parents from enjoying an adult beverage while on vacation. Drinking around the world is not necessarily a get $#@! face drunk event. There is absolutely nothing wrong with adults enjoying a few of the unique drinks in World Showcase.
