Hi Lucie, welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

I'd suggest you have a read through some of the trip reports, there's links to them in a sticky at the top of the page. This should give you a feel of the place. :)

You've chosen well with your hotel, the theming is great fun. :thumbsup2

Any questions, just ask away. :goodvibes

Hi lucie and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

Hotel Cheyenne was the first hotel we every stayed at at DLP. For themeing it is still IMHO the best Disney hotel.

You will have a great trip with your DH and DS. A 4 night/5 night trip gives you plenty of time to enjoy the parks.

Also have a look at our Very Useful Info Sticky. Becky has done a wonderful job here. Lots of tips, advice and secrets to make your trip special :thumbsup2

yes i agree you'll have plenty of time to enjoyyourselves and take your time around the parks without rushing, take advantage of Extra magic hours which is when disney hotel guests ca go to the park 2 hours early and ride the most popular rides in fantasyland and some others like buzz lightyear laser blast (your ds would love this!)
We stayed at cheyenne last june and loved it! It's great for little boys. You can give DS a pony ride in the morning, (but don't ride Nougat {pronounced Noogaa in French lol, it took me a while to figure out what his name was!!} as he is lazy and we had to 'encourage' him to keep walking and they told us aftr he is the lazy pony!)
If your ds likes to dress up, i'd suggest buying him dressup /accessories/cowboy hats before you go as they can add up to alot if you buy them from the park shops.
Hope you have a wonderful time!
