Hello, I am planning a trip to Disney world for my boyfriend and I for next summer. I havnt been to Disney world since I was a 15 (now 22) with my family, and my bf has never been there. We are shooting for June 3-9 but that's not set in stone. I was just hoping for some tips and maybe suggestions for us to get the most out of the Disney experience. Thanks :]

Well, You have definitely come to the right place to suggestions, but it would help us better for what you are looking for? What are your questions.

June is a nice to visit, though that starts the summer season which gets crowded as family/kids inhabit the parks.
Discounts are few during this time of year. Yet, again, discounts are getting few and far between throught the year.
Do you plan to stay on property or off? Are you looking to book everything yourself or get an agent? Dining Plan? Places to eat? Are you looking for something special to do? Questions about rides?
Lay it on us, there are plenty here with information, suggestions, and tips.

well thanks I feel all kinds of welcome here lol. But anyways I would like to stay on the property but its not a necessity, and my cousin is helping me boo everything, shes very good at that sort of thing. Mainly I just want to look into good attractions, shows, rides that kind of thing I don't want to miss while we're there.

Rides and shows:

MK: The triple mountain (Space, Splash and Big Thunder), Philharmagic, Pirate of the Caribbean, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Haunted Mansion, Parades and Firework.
Epcot: Mission Space, Test Track, Soaring, there is a ride inside one of the imagination pavilion where you can create your own roller coaster (forget the name), Maelstorm, Illuminations. If your feet are tired and need a break: Spaceship Earth and Ellen's Energy Adventure. Also check out the World Showcase.
Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safari, Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids, It's Tough to be a bug, The Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo The Musical, Parade.
Hollywood's Studio: Twillight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock and Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, Toy Story Mania (need to get fastpass as soon as you are arrived at the park), Star Tours, Lights Motors Action Stunt Show, Muppet Vision 3D, Fantasmic, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt

These are only my suggestions based on what I love from each park. There are many more rides and shows that I do not include.

You don't mention it but are you aware that falls within Orlando Gay Days. Those who go to Disney - of which there are many have a park schedule. I believe it is Animal Kingdom on Thursday, DHS on Friday, MK on Saturday and EPCOT on Sunday. Of course you may already know this and just choose to not state the obvious.

As a gay couple, making your first trip to WDW, I'd say it's time to set those dates in stone.

Beside GayDays, the weekend will also be a Star Wars weekend, I believe.

yea im already all booked for the 2 through the 9th of June. Im very excited, and definitely look forward to checking out those rides and attractions, many are the same as when I went years ago but I cant wait to see them again along with many new ones. Thanks again :]

I know you mentioned your cousin is looking into your hotel rez, but just in case, there has historically been a room only discount for WDW on-site hotels available during GayDay. Typically, I have seen them begin anytime between late Nov/Dec through Feb 'ish. Usually 10% off value, 20% off mods and 30% off dlx but not all hotels are included in the offers. Of course, this doesn't mean Disney will offer it again for 2014, but the odds are pretty good. They've done since we have been going....

There is also a group that has started to offer group rate discounts during GayDays, and they tended to go sale a few months prior to gaydays. This year it was for CSR and SSR. They were great rates, but you couldn't pick your room category. So, we kept our room only package offer through Disney as we wanted a king bed.

Have fun, and we hope to be there again next year too.

My suggestions are based on a great budget.

Stay on property. The perks , particularly early entry to the parks, Magical Express service, and access to complimentary Disney transportation are worth the extra $$$. May I recommend staying near Epcot or the Magic Kingdom as those 2 are the parks with the most popular rides as of today.

Fast Passes, Fast Passes, Fast Passes. Cannot stress how important it is to be on top of that. Know what attractions you want to ride, and getting passes for them as soon as possible will help you avoid long lines.

If your budget allows you too, make reservations for Be Our Guest asap. They go quickly!!! Booking breakfast at places inside the parks, preferably at times before they open to the general public, will help you get on rides faster than everyone else.

Take your time to enjoy and take it all in. Realistically, you should not expect to do it all in one day. Instead take a break in the middle of the day when parks are at their most crowded, go back to your hotel for a while, and relax for a little.

Finally, have fun!
