This will be our first attempt at renting points to stay at a Disney Vacation Club Villa. We plan on going next spring and after being on the discussion boards, are a bit worried that we have left it too late. Any suggestions you might have regarding how quickly we need to book and which resorts we should try, as our first experience, would be really helpful...:confused3

well March or April would go with BCV or BWV because of the flower/gardner at Epcot.

need more information - Is this vacation for relaxing, or are you planning on spending every minute at the parks?

Don't include your exact dates or it will be construed as soliciting for a reservation to rent - which is not allowed - maybe a more generic time frame.

The 7 month mark is now approaching (or has approached for early spring). You really should head right over to the DVC rent forum and start finding a member to rent a reservation from.

Find someone with home resort points if you are still more than 7 months out from when you want to go. Hopefully you have exact dates and size of villa (the size of your party will help determine that).

Plus find someone you are very comfortable with. That's important.

Where you stay also depends on your likes and dislikes. Our favorite is OKW. The villas there are the biggest. I also like the laid back atmosphere there. When I am in FL I like to feel like I am in FL not NY or the Northwest or even Africa. I am going to disney for the sun and palm trees not the jersey shore or the cape. But those are my preferences. Figure out what you like and then book it as soon as you have that figured out.
