I finally got reservations for BOG for our trip last week. I have to say though we were not impressed, not that it was bad or anything but all the hype I expected more. Just Ok and we will probably never do it again. The restaurant itself is really cool and we were seated right by the window to watch the snow, that was really cool.
Please let me know if you have any other questions and I will be more than happy to answer..

What did you all order? Our vacation isn't until Sept 2016 and I know I would like to see the inside of the castle, but not sure if the choices appeal to our family.

Did you eat Lunch CS or Dinner TS? We've only eaten Lunch CS and being on Dining Plan, I thought it was very nice CS. I've never eaten at another CS so nice. I don't think that I would use a TS credit for Dinner though.

I'll jump in to also answer questions as well. Ate there last week for dinner. First time visitors, non-Disney people so my point of view is likely outside the majority of the board participants.

We had the opposite feeling, BOG far exceeded our expectations. Maybe I set the bar low to begin with but we were pleasantly surprised by the food and service.

We finally scored a dinner ADR for our trip this past November and I have to echo the sentiment that it was a bit underwhelming.

Don't get me wrong, it's a fun experience and the ambiance is stunning! The cast members were kind and generous and I wouldn't classify the meal as bad at all! However what we discovered because the place is so busy, they tend to rush you through your meal in order turn the table over. So you didn't feel like you could really relax into your meal.

Also, again while the food isn't bad at all, I don't think it's worth the price point. Especially when compared to other establishments in the same price range. The meals were rather pedestrian and bland.

I've ate there many times. Been there for dinner, breakfast and lunch and I have never felt rushed. I've enjoyed every meal and felt very relaxed each time.

We just got back and we had lunch there one day. It was some of the best food of the trip. DD had kid Mahi, DS had grilled cheese, DW had Roast Beef Sandwich and I had Braised Pork. We though it was excellent. We pre-ordered and the whole experience was very smooth.

We did lunch two years ago and actually thought that was better than the dinner.

Concerning the bold, we got lucky in the sense that we had a late (9:05pm) ADR and weren't seated until 9:30-ish. I say lucky because we were at the tail end of the service and were not rushed. I suspect we would have had a very different experience 7pm.

I've done all three meals and I can understand what you (OP) are saying.

- Lunch is the best value for food and price. It's a great break in our day and seems to be the hardest to get.
- Breakfast has grown on me, it's a treat but I doubt I would do if I didn't get if for early park entry.
- Dinner .... menu was disappointing, server was great but the problem is the entire place feels like counter service it is all day.
- Other than West Wing the other two rooms are simply way too big to have a Table Service feel.
- Other than server (and curtain over drink machines), everything is the same as counter service time.
- The tables looked the same, it felt very institutional and seeing all meals are delivered the same way hard to get the table service vibe.
- We sat in ballroom for dinner, and it was loud, guests roaming all over, food came quick and is was over before we knew it.
- I don't foresee ever booking dinner again.

guests roaming all over,

That's what turns me off about the whole thing. People walking around everywhere, taking pictures of everything, while others are attempting to have a meal. It brings a low-class feel to the place and destroys any ambience Disney attempted to create.

I guess my problem with it is the people "eating" there, as much as most anything else....other than I feel it's a poor value other than lunch.

Yes there is no table service ambiance. Two of the rooms are simply too cavernous to pull together a table service atmosphere.

We did lunch and dinner February 2015 (President's week). We liked lunch better than dinner. Better value at lunch but overall the food was quality. It is French food in Fantasy land so you have to judge it for its place.

We sat in the main ballroom both times and yeah it was loud, both times. At dinner I had a hard time understanding the waiter because of the noise level and his accent. For what it is, I thought it was fun and well themed, plus the beer (although DH's was better than mine) was a plus!

We were 4 adults and we had dinner at 4:25. We ordered the chicken dish, the lamb chops, the vegetarian dish and the seafood dish with scallops and shrimp. They were all just okay not bad just not great.. We waited a long time for food they said food was ready but they didnt know where it all went. So all at once there was like 10-15 tables that got our food at about the same time, it just felt like they were very unorganized..

I know they encourage people to get up and walk around but we just walked to the door of the darker room not even sure what its called, I felt so bad for those people because that room was so crowded with everyone walking around and them trying to eat their dinner.

Please give it a try if you have never tried it maybe it will be as great as most everyone says it is. I think they were just having an off day.
