My boyfriend is attending a conference in St. Petersburg at the end of this month and I'm coming along with him! (Yay!!!)

We have reservations at Cali Grill on Friday night (Jan 31). When we found out about "after 4pm attending a convention in central Florida" tickets AND that MK is open until 11pm on Saturday, we were like "YES, PLEASE!!!" :yay:

Sooooo, I need some advice:

What would you do with 5 hours in the Magic Kingdom, given the current weirdness of FP+ (which I know very little about)???

Will there even be any FP+'s available after 6ish?
Do we have to stand in line at one of those awful kiosks I've read about??
If we buy our tickets online, do we have to pick up "real tickets" at the TTC???
How much is parking, anyway???? (we've always stayed onsite and never had to deal with that)

Also, does anyone know of things I can do solo in St. Pete while he's in the conference during the day???

If we only end up doing Haunted Mansion, eating a Dole Whip, and watching Wishes from Main Street, it'll totally be worth it!!

Thanks!!!

Parking: I would suggest Valet parking at Contemporary - $15 - and then walking to MK.

Ticket: Exchange at a Ticket Window, Guest Services, or Concierge at the Contemporary.

What time is your dinner @ California Grill?

I would think late in the day, the kiosks would be empty. You might be able to still grab FP foe jungle cruise, buzz light year, or little mermaid or something. I would go ahead and get them.

The closer you get to wishes, the more the rides clear out as people stake their claim.

I like watching the fireworks from fantasyland, so I can still slip into a few more rides.

Have fun. You will enjoy California grill.

Dinner is on Friday at 9:30... Wishes (one of our VERY faves in the World) is at 8pm, so we were thinking of having drinks at the CG lounge around that time... Do you think they'll let us go up 1.5 hours before our reservation time??

Good idea on exchanging our ticket vouchers at CR Concierge... Should we be able to do that on Friday when we're there for dinner to maximize our MK time on Saturday??

I like the idea of valet parking... could we also do that at Poly?? It'd be fun to go through another one of my favorite places!!

If you are only going to Contemporary for dinner and not to MK on Friday night, you don't have to Valet park. Tell the Security guard you have an ADR and he/she will direct you to self-parking.

You can go to the CG lounge at any time so you will be fine.

Valet parking at the Poly is also fine on Saturday.
