This is our first visit to Universal. We are staying onsite and got the Three Broomsticks package. My question is what time do I make my reservation for? Do I try to do Olivanders and Forbidden Journey first? How long will that take? Thanks for helping out a Universal newbie and Disney Junkie.

We done the breakfast four times and we've made the reservation for the 9:30 sitting. That gave us time to hit TFJ a couple of times but as far as Olivanders I can't say. That line is usually pretty long. Someone else should be able to answer that part.

In june we went straight to forbidden journey (at park opening for onsite guests), waited maybe 10 min, then to Olivanders, waited 20 min, then we rode dragon challenge, finally decided to eat at three broomsticks(didnt have a ressie but did at walk in) at about 9:30-10:00. I would do all those rides first, then sit down to a relaxing breakfast.

Can someone point me to how to make a reservation online? We are staying onsite and I can't find anything about it..

Thanks!

Im not positive, but I think they only take reservations for breakfast if you have a special package. We stayed onsite, but just did a walk up and had no problems being seated immediately.

Yep. And the HP package is about the most expensive way to get tickets and onsite room, but if the reservation for breakfast is important it can be worth it. But...since so many people can get in for breakfast without reservations it might not be necessary.

For those who haven't yet booked a package, consider buying tickets separately (I personally like using undercovertourist.com) and booking room separately. Assuming you're booking an onsite hotel, you get all the same perks of the hotel, and it can be less expensive in total than booking a package. I go here for booking: http://www.loewshotels.com/en/booking/uo?hotel=UEPBH,UEHRH,UERPR

Of course, if you're booking OFFsite, then booking a package directly through universalorlando.com is the only way to get the Early Entrance perk.

So if going during the week in oct and staying onsite, would you recommend booking tickets, airfare and rooms separately?
Also It sounds like 3 broomsticks is easy to get into for breakfast. So the Harry Potter package is not exactly a necessity ?
Just looking to save some $$$ (but who isn't)

room only reservations have less problems if you need to make a change.
you can cancel them on the 6th day out and receive a full refund on your deposit.

packages are paid in full prior to the 45 days out.
you will have $50 fee charges for any changes made on the package.
refund policy is strict and must be made 45 days prior to arrival for any refunds, minus fees.

the rules are better for r/o ressies.

you can buy tickets from UO or UT.

the package is not a necessity in order to do breakfast at the 3 B's
