I am taking my kids-9 and 11 for the 1st time. We are staying at HRH and will have 6 full days there. Here is my itinerary so far. we have the 5 day bonus pass-hoping to go back at night but it looks like the parks close at 7 p.m.
DAY 1- We arrive around 10 am on a Saturday- Wet and Wild- Mardi Gras parade at night-eat at Citywalk
DAY 2- Discovery Cove
DAY 3-Universal-dinner at Tchoup Tchoup-7:30
DAY 4- Sea World
DAY 5-IOA- Cirque De Soliel-6pm
DAY 6-go back to favorites
DAY 7-checkout 12 noon-hang out at HRH pool.

Just thought of this- Is Mardi Gras parade inside Universal? We maybe should switch wet and wild to Thursday b/c I would need pass on Sat. and it would be expired by Thursday.Or we could skip Mardi Gras parade-Can you go to parade without ticket to Universal?Help!!!

A friend gave me her itinerary from 2 years ago and it has the hours from 9-9 all week so I am thinking we'll need our pass for Mardi gras Sat night or is the parade another night also?

Hi essmom. We have 6 days also, but we're late sleepers and need to do 2 half-days at each place in order to see everything! We never made it to the parks before noon the last time we were at Disney! I'll be glad if the parks are open late.

It's a good idea to visit Wet N' Wild early in the morning, arriving to the gate at 08:30am, during the week. This gets you walk-on waits for the slides. I wouldn't go there your first day arriving on a Saturday, it will be packed by the time you get there.
Instead, I'd roam the hotel, and go to the Dixie Stampede Dinner show at 6pm. It was great, food is a small chicken where the meat falls off the bones. Make reservations in advance, because they've been selling out.

Same thing with DC, make sure you're there at 08:15 so you can check in with no wait.

I am thinking now we'll just head on to Universal Saturday and then go back for Mardi Gras parade and do Wet and Wild our last day -Thursday!! We'll have been at Univeral 2 days and IOA 1 day, SW one day and DC one day. How does that sound?

Most people think they need to allocate a day per park, you don't, and can play it by ear. Your DC pass gets you 7 days at SWF. Visiting SWF on 2 seperate mornings may be a good idea, because trying to see everything in 1 visit is kinda hard. After your morning visit to SWF, you can come back to USF/IOA where you'll have no waits. Get it? You don't have FOTL at WnW, or SWF, so visiting these parks in the morning will get you walkon rides. Then when the crowd hits, you come back to HRH for lunch, a nap, and go to USF/IOA with your magic keys. You can even throw in BGT one morning if you wanna drive the 75 miles over to Tampa.

Have fun and make sure to bring us back a full report!:D

Now I'm thinking we'll go to Magic Kingdom on Thursday. How far is it and how do we get there from HRH-no car?

Oh boy, I thought you we're driving down.

Rent the car.

NOW I AM THINKING THEY ARE A LITTLE OLD FOR MK SO MAYBE WE'LL STICK WITH WET AND WILD. ANY OTHER SUGESTIONS OF SOMETHING CLOSE BY OR WORTH A TAXI RIDE TO FOR OUR LAST DAY SINCE OUR TICKETS WILL HAVE EXPIRED NO MORE UNIVERSAL OR IOA BUT WE COULD GO BACK TO SW THAT DAY. I AM THINKING WAY TOO MUCH!!!

Why not just stick with your original plan of hanging out at the HRH pool that day. Your children will love it and so will you!

Thanks for all the help- I think we'll just play it by ear and do what we feel either SW a little bit, Wet and wild or hang at the pool. Last time we came to MK etc, we were so rushed so i didn't want to be rushed this time.
