First test sailing of Wish canceled

Not much to the story posted here, but it was just put up today. Hopefully it won't cause a change to the initial passenger sailings.

As far as I know they were preview cruises, not regular booked sailings. She will set sail on her first official voyage in July. They did sail away the yesterday but only with crew.

I'm on the maiden and I'm not worried (yet). We still have 22 days to go.

I sort of evilly hope the media cruise gets cancelled too. I'm tired of Disney rolling out the red carpet for the same people over and over again, while actual paying guests get shafted. Especially when those people don't even do a good job (e.g. not doing all the various experiences, instead focusing on taking that "perfect" Insta shot, or giving the wrong information when they could easily find the correct stuff).

I think they won't push anything back and are just working 24/7 to get all the stuff done on the various spaces. May have some technical glitches though since they aren't able to "practice".

Yes, Friday's was for CM's and families also.

Has anyone noticed you cannot book a Wish sailing in July for any category? I believe there was availability last time I checked a couple weeks ago. Are they really fully booked or did DCL pull these sailings from the website in case they have to cancel those dates?

Yes I just noticed that yesterday and concur that DCL probably pulled those sailings for some reason (rather than being fully booked)...they were previously showing availability for the Wish in July about 2 weeks ago when I looked. Would love to know the reason they are no longer on the website.

The ones that were still showing had very limited availability (as least showing on the website). I have no doubt they are "sold out" as more press has come and people getting more comfortable with cruising and getting a vacation in before school starts.

There was availability for the 25th sailing on either Sunday or Monday…I was looking at it and there was availability in every category except for Concierge…

A week ago the 25th sailing was not showing. The earliest was July 29 sailing.

I’m sure it fluctuates. But like i said, i looked about a month ago and there was no availability at all. So all I’m saying is that it’s not showing, right at the time of search, bc it is full, not due to potential to be canceled.

I wonder- just speculation- if here’s an crew Covid outbreak going around the ship. That would be a reason let it burn through before guests get on board.. Very possible seeing that this crew group most likely just got together a couple weeks for the transatlantic crossing.
