My DD will be calling for a telephone interview to be a CM at WDW. What will the interview be like? What questions should she expect and be prepared for?
Then if she is asked to have a face-to-face interview, what should she wear?
Thanks.

First they go over whatever your DD put on her application. Then they'll ask what roles she's interested in, and give her hypothetical situations related to those roles. Then some more questions, and then time for her to ask questions. Definitely have her ask questions. It shows genuine interest in the program. I wrote about my interview in my blog, but csaribay's blog and interview tips at http://chrissaribay.com/disney-blog/ is soooooo much better than mine at explaining it.

good luck to your DD! i'm not quite sure about the face-to-face. I don't think Disney does that for the phone interviews. at least they didn't with me.

If she's applying for the CP, this is how it works. She will fill out the application, and then have the interview (most are done by over the phone). The questions asked range from personal (why do you want to do the CP?) to questions about the roles picked.

If there is a face to face, I would go business casual (nice pants and a nice top).

Good luck to her!

I had a phone interview about a month ago. It was really relaxed! Just be prepared to answer questions about why you're interested in the program, what you'd like to do, how you'd handle living out of state and away from family, and what programs you'd be interested it. Once you talk about the roles you'd like, they'll give you minor scenarios or questions to see how you'd deal with them. Again, my interviewer was sooo nice and it was pretty simple. Best of luck to you!!

I made notes for my phone interview. I wrote down all my previous work info as far where I worked, for how long, and what my responsibilities were. I also prepared answers for questions I assumed would be asked (Why do I want to work at Disney?, Why did I check off certain roles?, What qualifies me for those roles?, etc.). They will ask about your look and if you have tattoos or piercings and where. My interviewer and I had a conversation basically, and it didn't feel like an interview. It was very easy. Show interest and smile while you're talking! It makes a huge difference in your tone and Disney loves happy people!

Oh and also, they will ask if you would be willing to work in roles that you didn't even check off. I politely said I would prefer not to but would if it was my only way to get in.

If you don't mind me asking, what did the person on the phone say to this? I would love to say that on my interview.

I had a similar answer (about QSFB) and she just laughed at my response (I said that I had worked/managed at McDonald's for 4 years and had flipped enough burgers to last a lifetime but if it was the only way I was getting in, I'd do it)

When my interviewer asked if I would be willing to accept custodial or QSFB even though I didn't check it off, I said I would prefer not to because I feel I'm most suited for the roles I requested but that I would accept it if it was my only chance of participating. She kind of finished my sentence and said "ok". She didn't seem at all disgusted with my answer. The key is to tell them just how perfect you'd be in the roles you checked off. They will only discuss 2-3 roles in the interview. I checked 3 and we only talked about my first and second choice, I think because I really convinced her I'd be great at my first choice :). And I got my first choice!

They are required to ask. Notice on the CP site that they basically say not to check stuff you don't want and to be honest with them about what you want and don't want:

Your response was very polite, professional and allowed them to move on, IMHO.

Thank you! I think anyone who really wants to get it would accept any role, but I gave my opinion on what I would be best at :)
