First (surprise!!) trip as a family in 2 months, need some input!!

DH and I will be taking our girls to DW for their first time in August, we haven't told them yet and it's been SOOO hard keeping it a secret (we've just been so excited about it!! lol), but with 2 months away from our big trip I think we've pulled it off Anyway, we're planning to break the news to them the day before but we want to make it really special. DD1's birthday is the very next day so I know it's going to be special for her (and our other 2 little ones) anyway, but we're still wanting to break the news in a way that they'll always remember. DH and I have some ideas already but I thought it'd be fun to hear from others.

So my question is this, for those of you that surprised your kids or have surprised your kids before (or were surprised as a kid yourself) how did you all do it?

We are also going in August and surprising our DD. She is 7 and has no idea! We haven't really decided exactly how the surprise will go but dice we are driving- we figured we would drive half way and spend the night and then tell her when she gets up the next morning. I have bought her some surprises to open that morning and I'm thinking maybe a shirt that says I'm going to WDW today and just let her read it!

That's exactly how we're doing it! We're driving and stopping at the halfway point for the night. We figured the next morning, before heading back out on the road we'd surprise them with the news. Since DD's bday will be the next day we thought we'd tell her we're giving her one of her birthday presents early and giving her a wrapped box with a ton of Disney memorabilia inside and at the very bottom it'll read "YOU'RE GOING TO DISNEY!!".

By the way I've been watching so many videos on youtube of kids being surprised with the news I tear up EVERY single time. I'm going to be a sobbing mess the day they find out, I just know it! LOL
