first stay for longer than 4 days coming up and questions?

Non-DVC lurker here: I notice posters stating that they bring extra bowls and extra coffee. Can you ask housekeeping for extra supplies upon check-in? I understand that you may need larger bowls and so you bring those but I really don't want to have to pack extra coffee and paper plates.

You get replacements for bowls and coffee only on your trash and towel day. The official line is that if you want more or sooner replacements you can purchase them. These restrictions are for the guests staying on DVC points.

Pay As You Play
With Pay As You Play service, you'll be provided with the following amenities free of charge at the start of your stay. After that, you may purchase more for the following fees:
Toiletries Package, $5.00 - 1 facial soap, 1 bath soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 shower gel
Coffee Package, $3.00 - 1 package of coffee, 8 sugars, 8 creamers, 8 artificial sweeteners
Towel Package, $6.00 - 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 4 washcloths, 1 bath mat
Laundry Detergent (only in One-, Two-, and Three-bedroom Vacation Homes), $1.00 - 1 box

However, I too have seen posts that people state they just ask Mousekeeping for replacements and they get it. Those staying on OCR (cash) would get daily service just like any other Disney resort.

The sofa beds are made up, but if you'll have a washing machine there's no harm in washing the sheets again. You can never be too safe!

OOPS!! That was my fingers going faster than my mind. I won't be washing the sheets over but the towels and such inbetween uses.

The BLT laundry is on the first floor. There are 3 washers and 6 dryers I beileve. You need your room key to get into the room.

What happens if your trash bag fills before day 4... where do you put the full bag of trash that is being tossed? Is there a dumpster or do you leave it in your unit?

Depending on where you are staying, there will be a trash room relatively close to your villa. Each cluster at OKW has one. Each floor in the hotel style ones have one. SSR has them near the elevators.

There will be spare bags in the bottom of the trash can.

One more quick question, we'll be coming "home" for the first time in May. There will be 4 of us in a studio, can someone please tell me how many towels are provided, is it just 1 per person or do they give a few extra?

we had one per person. We made it but would have liked 2 more.

A studio will have four bath towels, four face cloths and two hand towels. That's all you get for the first four days of your stay. Those will be replaced on day four. If you want more towels, you'll have to pay for them or bring them from home.

We did use the Purex sheets once or twice, but I didn't care for them. I ended up just buying my usual Era and storing it our Owner's locker. Before we had Owner's Locker, I usually bought a small liquid detergent and left it there for the next person or the housekeepers to take.

I was thinking of bring them for my next trip but wasn't sure how the "softener" part would hold up.

We used the Purex sheets in January and they worked fine.

I'm not sure I'd use them all of the time but we're taking them on our next vacation which is a 28 day cruise. Definitely will take up less room in the luggage.

Exactly my thoughts....I doubt that I'd use them anywhere other than WDW but if they get the job done there... then great!

Sometimes, often, you get towel animals, and they are really appreciated in a studio because they are extra towels!
