Members since 1999 and never been to BCV so we are excited about Storm Along Bay!!! :cool1: Can my daughter bring her pool noodle to use and I heard there is a lazy river - do you have to pay for the floats and how much?

Also, we are staying in a Studio for only two nights but I may want to run a load of wash, where are they located? Do you have to pay for them? I know at OKW you don't - just bring your detergent.

Thanks! :yay:

Yes, your daughter can bring her own noodle. Tubes rent for something like $5 (a day, an hour, not sure).

The lazy river is not that much of a river, more like a little loop. And the current is very swift and it is 8' deep (with a rather quick drop off). It's nothing like TL or BB.

The laundry for the villas is on the 4th floor, and the machines are free. Yes, you can bring and use your own noodle, or they do sell them. I do not know how much it costs to rent a tube. Beware!, the lazy river is deep, up to 8 ft. And there's a strong current in places. It is not like the lazy rivers at TL or BB. I love to swim in it, just be aware of what it is.

FYI my daughters prefered their pool noodles over the floats. One DD perfered to just wear a life vest in the lazy river.

I'll second the noodle idea. You can rent the floats by the hour or for the entire day. Renting for the day is a pain in the neck, though. You are not allowed to take them out of the pool area. Unlike a stroller in the park, if you lose it, they will not give you another one. If you leave it sitting unattended, the lifeguards will return them. Again, they won't issue you another one. Another problem is that many people don't realize you have to pay for them. If they see one sitting around, they'll take it not realizing they're doing something wrong.

We rented one on our first day at the pool as a whole-day rental. The next day, I bought everyone a noodle. We just kept them in the room when we weren't at the pool. Since we were flying home, we just chucked them when we left.
